That's my thinking too. Would be a massive PPV on it, even if it is a showbiz event in reality rather than a fight. In other news, I see Haye's next fight has been announced that it's being shown.. On Dave! hope it's a better contest than De Mori.

Yeah, there's a couple I'd happily do a swap deal for. Spoons and Robbored for Hello and Miah?

Probably nothing in it but a bit of chat online about a Conor McGregor vs Mayweather boxing match.. Supposedly a 'billion dollar fight' - surely Mayweather would outclass him, if it did happen, would be more like a WWE showbiz thing than an actual boxing match. McGregor is keen to make as much money as possible and his stock is high now.. Think he'd fancy it if it could happen.

Agree - think Haye vs Joshua is inevitable at some point before the winner fights fury. There's too much public intrigue for it not to happen, the ppv sales on Haye vs Joshua would be huge. Obviously though now Haye has been out of the ring for a while his stock has fallen. He needs a few wins this year to have a case to fight Joshua assuming he beats Martin.

Erm.. I was joking about the cheap suit thing @pigeon. Difficult to gauge tone over a forum though. It was in response to the ludicrous tweet about the family being worth over £60b. I do actually agree with your point that it would be quite a spectacle to have a regular and competitive Derby with Rovers. I'm quite proud that the Bristol Derby is regularly in the top 10 "fiercest derbies" in the country that newspapers do every so often. Not sure how long we can hold onto that if we occasionally play them in the JPT or the other cups. As long as they finish below us each season, have lower attendances, have a worse atmosphere and remain inferior to us in just about every way.. I wouldn't actually mind having them in the same league

I saw that tweet, ridiculous wild guess. Besides, have you seen the suit he's wearing? Looks like it's from the George range at Asda.

Yep I think I read the same. Dangerous game if so in my opinion. Strange how there's so little info about them though..
-
That 70m figure I quoted was just based on one site I found when googling - there's barely any info on them so it may be out of date/incorrect/I've read it wrong so it may be completely wide of the mark. That said.. Because there's so little info on them, I can only assume they're not that wealthy

I would really like to visit the Middle East. Never experienced it and curious to know more. Some of the food in that area is great.
-
Based on the only info it seems myself and one other have found online, it's about £70m. No idea whether that's current, or whether that's based on assets/investments though. That may well be totally incorrect. All I did was googled the name and net worth.
-
True, people are making assumptions because it's middle eastern. It doesn't appear they are *that* wealthy and being foreign there's a risk they won't 'get' what it is to own a British team and things go wrong.
-
I found the same. Not *that* impressive in football ownership terms really..
-
Just because he's Jordanian doesn't automatically mean the family is filthy rich. There's barely any info on them online, if their wealth was something really impressive surely there'd be something online about them.

Completely random, seems to be not much of a real link other than that note in the paper. Certainly fits into the head coach ethos though

Random link.. about halfway down the page Carl Robinson currently at Vancouver http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/swansea-city-breaking-transfer-news-10755067 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Robinson

Haven't heard of a few of those names, are the in bookies odds @havanatopia or just suggestions?

Our set pieces and delivery from wide areas are very poor, especially when Freeman came off. Reid and Bryan's corners were simply awful and Preston took advantage of theirs - corners and free kicks win games as we saw last season! I didn't rate him massively but we missed Bennett's final ball from wide today. For all his running and directness, Little just doesn't have the vision or quality to cross the ball accurately and threateningly as often.
