  1. Watching him today I'm certain he was under instruction to shoot whenever. This is as he wasn't being shouted at by his teammates when he chose to shoot!
  2. Thanks, not much I'm uneasy with humour wise but that's just a word that doesn't sit well with me! Your alternative is much better but what on earth does it mean !
  3. Hopefully brings us more luck than @Aizoon! A good read. Would you mind using a different word to 'retard' at the end though please?
  4. Exactly. People underestimate Fury and I suspect it's partly because he doesn't look as athletic as the likes of Haye, Joshua etc. It's very hard for such a big man to be as trim as those guys. Peter Fury is a very good trainer and set up a great game plan for that fight. Hughie , his cousin, is a good fighter too. Tyson Fury and the people he grew up with are fighting people. Tyson can take a punch and would have been scrapping all his life. Predictably people were doing the whole "Joshua would destroy these two" thing when TF fought VK. I don't reckon he would, not yet anyway. Saturday showed AJ isn't the finished article yet. Whyte gave a good account of himself and shook Joshua up. I enjoy his fights though and I reckon, if it can be arranged in the next 18 months, AJ vs David Haye would be a great fight.
  5. I'm not so sure, people really underestimate Tyson. Peter fury is a great trainer and very good at making a game plan as last night shows.
  6. Had a feeling about fury, genuine self belief. People underestimate him because he doesn't look in good shape and is so languid. I reckon Haye will beat his opponent, then Haye vs Joshua to get a fight with Fury?
  7. Their wage bill must be astronomical and the gulf in class shows. Players like Mo Diame, Huddlestone and Livermore are too good for this league really. Combined with classy players like Robertson and Odubajo. Very good team and I'd be amazed if they don't go up. We won't face a stronger side and at times we acquitted ourselves well, but their obvious quality showed as the game went on. Good point overall but shows us we have lots of work to do before we are at that level.
  8. Yep, should have headed it to the other side. Mind you, easy for me to say with a beer in my hand in front of the TV - I'm not the one heading a fast travelling ball!
  9. We can win this. City to win and Kodjia to score is a good bet. Far on top.
  10. I wonder how many will be in the sports bar? What's the capacity in there? Would be good to get 150 or so
  11. Not too local for me but would have liked to. Should be good in there tonight.
  12. Not sure about that spoons, there's no singing section in the sports bar?! ;-)
  13. Love reading all these hilarious gay jokes/innuendo every time we play Brighton
  14. Can you imagine SL sanctioning selling one of our best players if we're still near the bottom? I just can't. Sometimes that's to his detriment. Brentford, for example, would; we often let pride/fear get in the way of rational decision making when it comes to selling players.
  15. RE: Kodjia he won't unless we get a silly offer.. 7m +. He's probably not on enormous wages either.
  16. Kodjia, as expected, showed all the hallmarks of a striker not quite sharp or in tune with the rest of the team yet - by that I mean his runs and touch which were poor. It'll come. He barely touched the ball really but I was impressed with his angled shot that went over; the technique was good but more importantly the idea to have that shot in the first place. Looking forward to watching him improve
