  1. They'd just have to buy the land off Taylor Wimpey first.
  2. Fists are a weapon too mate. Throwing a big right hand on someone who isn't defending themselves could have had devastating consequences. The same, if not worse, than a bottle.
  3. Having just watched it again, it isn't even the lad who had the bottle who Stokes ends up attacking! The lad with the bottle has a black hoodie on and that's who Stokes initially jumps on but then he moved on to start whacking the lads mate who doesn't appear to throw a single punch the whole time and is instead backing away and seems to be trying to calm things down whilst Stokes continues to throw punches and eventually ko him. He'll surely get done for this and rightfully so IMO.
  4. Yes, you can see the lad going to throw the bottle towards Stokes' mate but Stokes intervenes and starts fighting the lad. I think the problem is that after that there is a full 30 seconds of Stokes launching punches/kicks at the lad whilst he is backing away and throwing no punches. He has no right to claim self-defence at this point as the bottle is no longer in play. The court will just say at this point he should've walked away. He'll be off to the magistrates court and get a fine would be my guess and he won't be going to the Ashes.
  5. Haha FFS. Is that dog blep down by its rear paw?
  6. Or Steve Lansdown to Maggie "could you take a look down the back of the sofa, love. I think I may have dropped a full Tilson down there"
  7. Good grief. Hilarious yet pitiful in equal measure
  8. Sorry, have only skimmed through the last few pages but is this genuine? Can't be, surely?
  9. Good win in terms of margin of victory but obviously that defence needs some serious work. Still, there's been a noticeable improvement in attack over the past two games; now to see it in defence.
  10. I think I'm right in saying they've only ever finished above us about 11 times in their entire history of 130 + years.
  11. Yep unbeaten fighter who looked a class above everyone he fought. Another great 'defensive' boxer. Loss to the game for sure.
  12. I had GGG by two and a few were so close they could've gone either way so I can't really blame the bloke the who scored it level. It's about styles too and I quite liked some of Canelo's work on the ropes where he slipped punches then landed with shots of his own. Ultimately though GGG landed 213 odd punches to Canelo's 160 ish and that shows that overall he certainly didn't do enough to win the fight. Bring on the rematch anyway, can't help but think Canelo will have to work harder and take a few more risks if he's going to take them belts off GGG.
  13. Mayweather absolutely schooled him as well but I do remember that one judge had it as a draw. Unreal. The scoring system needs reform. Maybe have 5 judges and take away the two widest scores or something like that...
  14. Just watched it and I scored it as follows: R1 Canelo R2 Canelo R3 GGG R4 GGG R5 GGG R6 Canelo R7 GGG R8 GGG R9 Canelo R10 GGG R11 Canelo R12 GGG So GGG by 2 rounds. It wasn't an easy fight to score and a few of those rounds could've gone either way. The 118-110 scorecard in Canelos favour was a travesty though. Overall, the fight never really caught fire though it was certainly engaging from start to finish. Long way off being a classic. Must be nailed on that they will do it all again next year.
  15. Yeah big improvement from Callum needed, think he has it in his locker though. On a side note, why was the Liverpool Echo so empty? Poor atmosphere, ticket sales presumably didn't go well. It's usually buzzing in there. Right back up at 6am for the first replay of the Canelo/GGG fight!
  16. Mundo suffering from ring rust? Looks slow
  17. Need to sort things out asap with Bedford away in a couple of weeks. Gotta be looking to pump Richmond this weekend though! For anyone interested, tickets for the home game versus London Scottish on Saturday 7 October are all £10.
  18. We've sold 572 for tomorrow night. Expect it'll be 650 + in the end
  19. He reminds me of Buddy the Elf. Child-like and naive, but not funny.
  20. Since they last played Wolves at Molineux in 1992 we've been there 11 times Can't believe this as well, they've only played Wolves 14 times in their entire history! Games involving us and Wolves? Tomorrow night will be the 66th meeting between the two clubs!
  21. Assume anyone can purchase that on PPV? If so, I'll definitely do it. What's happened to Callum Smith's career? I see he's still unbeaten but a couple of years ago he was so impressive in the way he was blowing opponents away I'd have thought he'd have been in some big, big fights by now. Don't know much about Skoglund but see he's unbeaten too.
  22. Alarm bells ringing already. Hartpury are semi pro and only train 3 morning's a week and it was two tries each today. Only the boot of Madigan won it for Bristol. Same story as has been the case for many years Bristol just make way too many errors. Handling errors, giving away penalties etc Pat Lam I hope is under no illusions as to the size of task that lies ahead after that today. I'm fairness, I think I read that Hartpury were unbeaten in league competition for the last 2 years prior today. So they have a winning mentality whereas Bristol are very much used to losing. Tough game at Cornish Pirates next weekend now. We need to keep finding ways to win whilst the squad gels.
  23. Hooray it's over! And nothing remotely interesting happened.
