  1. Cotterill, Allan Steele and Dale Vince.. It'll be lively, if nothing else.
  2. That would make sense. He's had loan spells at Bath and Yeovil too so maybe he'll end up at one of those clubs. Taunton should've taken the lead after starting strongly. Bell had a good chance which he didn't even get on target. Just missing a striker. Weymouth scored a nice goal from the edge of the box, and Taunton's confidence drained. Fans singing "you're getting sacked in the morning" at Dray. Not a happy place atm!
  3. Does that include what you told everyone in the supporters club had happened? Won't go down well with Cheltenham fans!
  4. Went to Taunton v Weymouth this evening against my better judgement. Two City loanees are at Taunton, Zac Bell and Marley Rose. The former started and had a very poor game. Rose came on second half and didn't make an impression either, albeit in tough conditions and Taunton were playing terribly. Bell is 20 now and I'd be amazed if he made it at City based on that performance this evening.
  5. Agree on both points. That said, it's pretty shocking that there seems to have been no new generation of talent come through to really challenge him. That the likes of Mark Williams and Higgins are still near the top of the game at coming on for 50 shows a dearth of talent in the wider game. I really like Robert Milkins (Bemmie Down boy) but he's 47 and has had all kinds of health problems including battling alcoholism, but is still a top 16 player. The sport is still pretty much dominated (in terms of numbers at the top of the rankings) by players from one country: England. Ronnie is a genius but I believe he has made the point himself, that the overall standard in snooker (particularly outside the top 16) is pretty poor. Sadly, without him, it'll probably continue to decline.
  6. Good episode. Flows so much better when everyone takes their turn speaking and doesn't interrupt.
  7. Believe there's another £100k or so in it for you if he makes it at City. Best of luck for the rest of the season and see you in the summer!
  8. And the CSF and Aldershot squaddies may get a chance to renew rivalries soon
  9. Wasn't going to be retained on the playing side, even under Nige. I've heard he doesn't want to retire from playing so will presumably be in talks with other Championship/L1 clubs.
  10. He had his medical on Friday and it's done. It's our leakiest transfer in years; have lost count of the number of people that've messaged me saying it's done
  11. Those are the harbourside gigs, not Queen Sq
  12. The least of his worries given the fan that showed the image of Bradley Lowery got 200 hours community service and a 12-month suspended prison sentence.
  13. Just like our past three seasons then... This season seems to be following a very similar path to last season. Some decent form and a cup run, followed by season fizzling out with nothing to play for by the start of March.
  14. Afraid there is signage and has been for a few months.
  15. I know a couple of Wednesday fans and I've always thought they were a good bunch. Much nicer than their city rivals. But after the Bradley Lowery incident, and now this, I'm starting to wonder.
  16. Not sure they were "mighty" at the time though? About where West Ham are now in terms of league position. David Moyes actually said on Tuesday he didn't really consider our win a proper "upset" given there's only one division between the two teams. Though I'm sure he was arse-covering to an extent, he has a point; it's not like it was a League Two side knocking out a Prem one.
  17. Sadly, it's just yet another example that highlights how little this club has achieved in the past 30 years, and in fact, in its entire history.
  18. Dickie and Atkinson should be licking their lips at the set piece delivery.
  19. What do you mean is it worth it? Of course it's worth it! Is it worth beating West Ham in the FA Cup if you end up getting knocked out next round by Forest?! Yes! We are football fans and know the score. They'll be ups and downs - and results will never be linear in terms of always beating poor teams and never beating good ones. 4pts off Watford is a good return, and 1pt off Brum not so good (tho thought they were decent here in August). It all balances itself out, and we are pretty much where I, and I think most others, thought we'd be when the season kicked off.
  20. Watford are a good side that have had a higher level of investment than us, and imo have a very good manager in Ismael. I was looking at their results before the game and they've actually been in very good form since the end of November. Our 4-1 win on Boxing Day is very much an anomaly in their recent results. I think they could yet finish 5th or 6th, so taking 4 points off them over the past few weeks is a very good return.
  21. Don't need the distraction of the league to impact our cup run anyway
  22. I like the look of him, good signing.
