  1. Just checked and Marley was an unused sub for Taunton Saturday so needs the game time I guess
  2. That Marley Rose ? He is at Taunton.
  3. NZ demolishing SA reserves. Watched a bit the other night and was amazed when the comms said that NZ have NEVER beaten SA in a Test series.
  4. The rules are very wide ranging and include "unsporting conduct" which is up to the discretion of the ref. I think the ref's particular issue was with him turning away from his opponent which I guess could be deemed dangerous for him too as "not protecting himself at all times". Like you, I don't mind the showboating tho.
  5. Yeah it was a tricky one though, and Lloyd nailed two other tough ones. Great effort from the boys second half but wasn't to be.
  6. 5 wins in 18....pretty much par for the course for us at this level.
  7. Couple of options spring to mind... One is maybe a potential buyer wouldn't want the "brand experience" that Bristol Sport offers!! Second, the buyer demands those within BS with the Bears brand experience/knowledge are removed from BS and come under Bears umbrella. There's nothing that's insurmountable. Within reason it can be divvied up a multiple of ways, as long as buyer and seller are happy with the £££.
  8. I can't believe it would put off a serious investor willing to part with tens of millions. Maybe the odd time-waster...
  9. 24 this year and 163 appearances for Derby says otherwise...
  10. You were discussing the potential sale of Bears or City? The structure is nothing spectacularly complex that some good lawyers couldn't sort out as mentioned by @ExiledAjax many times. Fact of the matter is Steve wants too much money. Nothing to do with structure.
  11. Also, Manning could have meant Sykes was "out" for a few weeks in regard to full training. Then, it may take him another week or two to regain match fitness and be ready for selection for the first team. Either way, seems harsh to interpret a vague phrase from Manning as Sykes definitely being out for no more than 3 weeks. Let's hope Sykes is back quickly anyway, as he's a big player for us.
  12. Conway and Williams squaring up to each other at the final whistle. Don't mind seeing that!
  13. Generic and unimaginative, but still slightly better than ours.
  14. Yes, I reckon the deal is already done. Yes. Would probably have a couple more trophies too if it wasn't for the financial dopers Man City.
  15. Cotterill, Allan Steele and Dale Vince.. It'll be lively, if nothing else.
  16. That would make sense. He's had loan spells at Bath and Yeovil too so maybe he'll end up at one of those clubs. Taunton should've taken the lead after starting strongly. Bell had a good chance which he didn't even get on target. Just missing a striker. Weymouth scored a nice goal from the edge of the box, and Taunton's confidence drained. Fans singing "you're getting sacked in the morning" at Dray. Not a happy place atm!
  17. Does that include what you told everyone in the supporters club had happened? Won't go down well with Cheltenham fans!
  18. Went to Taunton v Weymouth this evening against my better judgement. Two City loanees are at Taunton, Zac Bell and Marley Rose. The former started and had a very poor game. Rose came on second half and didn't make an impression either, albeit in tough conditions and Taunton were playing terribly. Bell is 20 now and I'd be amazed if he made it at City based on that performance this evening.
  19. Agree on both points. That said, it's pretty shocking that there seems to have been no new generation of talent come through to really challenge him. That the likes of Mark Williams and Higgins are still near the top of the game at coming on for 50 shows a dearth of talent in the wider game. I really like Robert Milkins (Bemmie Down boy) but he's 47 and has had all kinds of health problems including battling alcoholism, but is still a top 16 player. The sport is still pretty much dominated (in terms of numbers at the top of the rankings) by players from one country: England. Ronnie is a genius but I believe he has made the point himself, that the overall standard in snooker (particularly outside the top 16) is pretty poor. Sadly, without him, it'll probably continue to decline.
