I think calling Barton a bully is probably an understatement. In reality he displays all the behaviours of an abuser. That means everyone around him that he doesn't perceive as bigger and stronger than he is, is a victim of his behaviour. A big reason is that north of Yate isn't Green Belt tbh. Same reason Charfield and Thornbury (north and east) have been lumped with a load of new houses over the past 10 years. South Glos is running out of land in sustainable locations to build housing outside the Green Belt though (Charfield for example has reached capacity due to J14 of the M5 being inadequate), hence the new Local Plan is proposing a lot of housing in the Green Belt.

I'd say you can't go wrong with either. Both nice venues for a special occasion too.

Quite agree - I'm still mourning the loss of Woolworths! Travelling around Bristol regularly as I do, you rarely see sags, full stop. I think they did used to hide out in places like Yate, but I've genuinely no idea where their "stronghold" is now, if they in fact have one.

Was shut for a while then taken over by new owners, I believe. It is decent tbf.
