  1. Aye, on song two with the boss...
  2. Surprised. Noel would be the obvious choice. Maybe Macca doesn't rate Oasis either ?
  3. Yeah, he co-wrote the best Beatles record Come Together - get it on!
  4. Crazy. Same with the Stones. We want more of The Beatles, Macca.
  5. Liam is a class frontman though, simply cannot be denied. Presence, attitude. He is pure rock n roll. Blur a way better band anyway though, imo! Pulp too actually. Have enjoyed Mitski and Caribou this evening. Macca putting on a decent display here considering he's 80.
  6. Absolutely, and it has to be said things were getting pretty turgid under Root/Silverwood. So this is quite the contrast.
  7. Another remarkable innings from Bairstow. Brilliant partnership from these two
  8. That ball from Boult to get Crawley out was unplayable. Beauty
  9. Sick of the sight of Mitchell and Blundell.
  10. Yes. It was alright but as usual with harbourside gigs the sound wasn't loud enough due to it being so close to flats across the river. I was on the guest list so thankfully didn't pay, wouldn't have gone otherwise and paid £60 or whatever it was. Agree support were crap.
  11. Enjoy everyone. Bristol having it's own mini-festival with Elton John and Noel Gallagher in town this evening. I'm heading to the latter, lovely evening for it.
  12. Yep, with a boundary required, that was not the ball...
  13. Back on loan to Taunton in Nat League South next season?
  14. A bizarre and extraordinary story! Nice to have the Prem winning captain with us next season...
  15. They're called Sea Power now, seeing them in a few weeks in Bristol. This cover has been around for years. The Wurzels covered Remember Me by BSP in return.
  16. Both Swansea Just found a gog - Pat Pocock played 20 Tests for England between 1968 - 85 and was born in Bangor.
  17. A North Walean. He's from Denbighshire
  18. Is Phil Salt the first ever gog to play for England?
  19. I wasn't that impressed with Mugshot. I spoke to some people who were saying it was the "Pasture-slayer" i.e. even better than Pasture but definitely not for me. The chips are fantastic, I'll give them that. Cocktails were excellent too. But I didn't get on with the concept of cooking my own steak, at those prices I'd rather the chef did it - I know that was an option btw, so maybe my own fault. They forgot our asparagus dish too, and then when it arrived I thought the asparagus was undercooked and over-seasoned with too much salt. The menu is also very meat heavy, so it lacks a bit of choice. Find it a bit odd that they have a pizza menu alongside the steaks, and also they didn't push the dessert menu which I thought was a little odd. It wasn't bad, and I'd still go back, but it's not in the top echelon of Bristol restaurants just yet IMO.
  20. Was at the brilliant Peaness tonight at Rough Trade and they dedicated their last couple of songs to Jeff.
  21. He wasn't in the last chance saloon at all. Averaged nearly 50 in the Ashes (granted only played 4 innings) and only Root scored more runs than him in the Windies. Bairstow wasn't close to being dropped, and certainly won't be now.
  22. We'll find out how sustainable this is long-term but it's great to watch!
  23. Very strange decision not to give it Jimmy earlier. It's just about doable but is going to take some effort. Under Root we'd have not even attempted the chase....
  24. 25 partnership....frustrating. Big runs those for NZ
