Let's see what Nige has to say about that.
He has to take some responsibility for failing to coach the team the basics of defending corners.

Massengo ran around like a blue arsed fly but falls over with the slightest contact trying to get a foul. He has a good touch and can pass but he's physically a lightweight and loses the ball too often

50 years a fan and I can't remember ever being so angry at my own team. I've been a staunch defender of NP but to send a team out with three centre backs and our main goal scorer at right back and to defend so atrociously is not acceptable.

wish we could defend a ******* corner properly
As the commentators said, why are players mismatched?
It's disgraceful that they cannot do the most basic defending

Shocking defending to give corner and then defending corner.

The whole Simpson saga is a mystery. How many minutes did he play in total? In a position where we have been so vulnerable, it's strange how few games he got. What was the point?

It does seem that the Simpson signing has not got the scrutiny it deserves. At the time it made a lot of sense. We are so weak in that position. Is he injured?

I reckon the one against Sheff Utd (1.30m) is the essence of Andi - total commitment

My memories go back before the Dolman was built. Makes me an old git.
Same! I seem to remember watching a game from the railings where the Dolman is now. Also I had a friend who knew people who lived in one of the houses on Ashton Road opposite the park and watching a game from their roof.
Old gits forever.

Disappointing performance all round but three nice fat juicy points.
We were flat in the first half and then in the second were outplayed by Reading once Pring was subbed for ODowda.
Reading were poor and we made them look good in the second half.
But I'm not complaining - three nice fat juicy points

First half in a nutshell…..a City performance characterised by us being faltering, flat, disjointed, hesitant, nervous and being very low on confidence, quality and energy. Littered with sloppy football and mistakes. Reading look capable of hurting us on the counter-attack.
The goal for Semenyo should not distract from that being a very poor 45 minutes from us.
Hard to watch and impossible to enjoy!
Fair summary. Well taken goal though - good reactions from Weimann and Semenyo

what a good goal!!!

is this the most boring 40 mins ever?

A win with a clean sheet would be nice.
2/3 changes expected?
Really important to cut out the mistakes - particularly defending crosses.
Also to maintain a defensive mentality until the final whistle blows. I'm sick and tired of last minute goals against.

A friend actually posted me a couple of bottles last year. Due to Brexit everything takes for ever to get from the UK to Portugal now, and the package duly arrived 6 months later, long after we'd given it up for dead. The first I knew about its arrival was a letter from the post office telling me I had until a date already passed to go to collect the package and pay customs fees. It was promptly returned to sender, which somehow only took 3 days.
So can we please not talk about Weston's Vintage? TIA

Just watched the highlights on YouTube and wondered about how we let that corner in at the last minute. It's a very fine angle to score from. Kind of think that the keeper should be able to deal with it. And why was there no defender on the post? It was injury time - surely they should have defended the goal line?

I am absolutely disgusted with that performance. 12 months have passed and again we are subjected to clueless half witted error prone rubbish. Shocking defending, absent midfield, poor finishing, injury upon injury. No progress whatsoever.
