  1. You know I was jesting Harry... exactly how I see it as well
  2. I fully understand your sentiments Harry...but you would have cheered Marlon
  3. Tbh...whatever results and performances he gets between now and the end of the season, will bare no relation to how will do in the future/ next season. As I've said in previous posts, if we are likely to lose Wells, King, Weimann, James, Twine and maybe Williams, and replace them with the likes of what we've bought and loaned back, and bring in ' young hungry athletic, league 1 type players, with little or no experience at this level or above, how are we to guage what will happen next season?
  4. That's sad news...a close friendship as well as a working relationship.
  5. Yes definitely...as you get older you don't suffer fools gladly. I'd lose my shit listening to some of the crap spouted by our ' hierarchy '. Especially when you've been there and done it.
  6. That's a nice story mate...I can see why. I spent 6 months in Oz a few years back. Did the East Coast and based myself in Coolangatta so I could learn to surf. I came across a band I'd never heard of, well at least they don't get airtime in the UK. This became my ' anthem ' from that time.
  7. If we get trounced by Cardiff using ' next season's players' so to speak, then surely that's something he will have learned. Trying to beat Cardiff using players that won't be here means nothing. I'd rather lose and learn, than win and learn nothing that we don't already know.
  8. For me, this is an opportunity to see whether the players we intend keeping are good enough. Do we agree we are most likely losing King, James, Wells, ( obviously Weimann ) maybe Williams, and most likely Twine won't be here next season. So as much as I'd want them to play, what's the point in playing them? They have nothing to play for...they won't be judged on their ability in these last games. Put out a team that will be here next season. Play them how you want them to play. If they don't succeed, you will know they aren't good enough, and that you still need experience and older heads to lead. We have nothing to play for...what will Manning learn from playing players that he has no intention of using next season.
  9. They are new to me. Thanks for sharing
  10. Great driving song in the summer with hood down
  11. Yeah I loved Icehouse, Iva Davis is a genius imo. GSL is probably Australia's National Anthem now. Glad you were at Wembley. Awesome. I know Jimmy Barnes...did a great track with INXS. Good Times. Got the 12". Also liked a band called Noise works.
  12. Yes I have seen it mate. I'm also on the Live Baby Live DVD. I was right at the front. What an amazing gig that was. Everyone in the moment, not a phone in sight. Wow...ACDC in a pub...amazing. I used to be into Icehouse as well. Did you ever see them?
  13. That's awesome fella. Proper hard-working touring band. I've seen them 19 times now. Last time was in Coolangatta, but sadly after Michael had passed away. I did get to chat with them when they played the Victoria Rooms. Don't change gives me Goosebumps every time. That's so cool that you hung out when they were the Farris Brothers.
  14. I've no doubt about that...I still think he and others would have been pushed towards Pearson by BT. More so than now.
  15. Imo... Academy players like Yeboah were pushed at Pearson by BT. Obviously as Academy Director it underlines how good he is at providing a pathway and getting bloodied in the first team squad. Moves on to becoming ' Technical Director'...that now goes out the window and the focus is now on...' look what gems I've recruited'...like the lad from Belgium. That's how I see it...
  16. My point was more that the team is built around their inclusion rather than their ability
  17. Was best in a three with Wells and Bell/Sykes imo Feeding off scraps from Mehmetti will do his nut in. Is Mehmetti the new Weimann? As in won't be dropped so the rest of the team have to fit around him? Hope not.
  18. You really don't get it do you. Decent chap or not... we'll leave it here. No point.
  19. You seem to be skirting the issue and avoiding what's been clearly said.
  20. As an Academy Director.
  21. Your last sentence is questionable...meant to be a Professionally run Club...or how BT prefers to spell it...' Proffesional ' or ' Teknical '...very professional . Having spoken to previous managers and former players, the underlying mantra from all of them, was their surprise as to unprofessional and Amateur we were run.
  22. Like I implied and said numerous times. His strengths are at Academy level. You don't give jobs to people, especially when they've failed at being manager, let alone Technical Director just because of being a loyal servant.
  23. Whilst BT has been a long servant for this Club, do you really think his position now is justified? He spent the great majority of his playing career at 3rd division level. Failed as a player/ manager. Proved he's got what it takes at Academy level. Which is where his strengths are. What qualifications and experience does he have at this level that makes you think he knows what he's doing to get promoted or even stop us getting relegated. Combine him and Crayola...and it reads like a joke. In all seriousness...how do we expect great things under their guidance...
