  1. Apparently we are now aspiring to play like Ipswich
  2. I've also just noticed they do a last table as well...which on this one is 8.30. https://www.firsttable.co.uk/
  3. Here's a link bud https://www.firsttable.co.uk/
  4. Most realise that...however, since coming in, BT has said some weird shit that hasn't helped his cause.
  5. Of course he wants the best for our club...he's hardly going to want the opposite. Wanting the best for our Club doesn't mean he's the right man for the role of Technical Director. We have an owner, JL and Gavin Marshall. None of em know **** all about managing or coaching a football team...so they will have to take all their info from BT. What experience does BT have at making the right decisions for the first team? Academy and loan progressions yes...but not the first team. He failed massively as a manager...and simply doesn't warrant his position to basically make and inform ( in his opinion ) what is best for our first team. He is the only one in that position to do so. Add that he is hopeless when speaking to the media and public, as is JL...then it's a poor appointment. Gavin Marshall as CFO is spread thinner by the year. He works on Bristol Sport, HPC, Woman's Rugby, Bristol Bears, both Academy's, Bristol City Holdings, Aston Gate Ltd and the Flyers...it's a crazy situation. The owner, JL, BT and the poor CFO. It really is a crazy situation...backed up with a coach learning on the job and a bunch of analysts out of Uni.
  6. Thought I'd mention it on here, the App ' First Table'...as many of the restaurants mentioned on here use it. Basically you get to book the first table available in the evening. Often between 5 and 6. You get 50% off your food bill. Used it a few times, as was apprehensive at first, however the food and service is as good as the rest of service. If you get a 6 reservation, by the time you've ordered and had drinks, it's approx 7. I much prefer eating in the UK earlier. Worth giving it a go if you've never heard of it. The Ox is on it as well
  7. Mullins is the Red Bull of horse racing it seems.
  8. Jeeez...do you not think everyone on here wants our club to do better? It's called Constructive criticism. Fans voicing their opinions on how they see there club being run. We all support the team. We all want the best. Fans point out the BS and constant mistakes. They are praise when seen fit. Your view is reflected by those in charge...as in ' shut up you Muppets, be grateful, I've built a stadium and HPC, put my son in charge with no experience, and put a Technical Director in place, who's learning on the job, but as he's been here 30 years, so **** it, might as well give it to him, even though he has no experience. Don't worry about all the decent CEOs who've left...nothing to see here...and we will be Maverick in our approach, because we believe we know best, so we'll employ another young coach who can learn on the job, just ignore we said we wanted promotion this season...anyway, as you were, be grateful...'
  9. I drove down it on Saturday no problem
  10. You won't get a quick getaway from FGR if you leave and go down the hill into Nailsworth. The road from FGR to Nympsfield is pretty much a pot holed single lane with small tracks into fields or property. The roads around the ground are all coned off by the police. You could try the roads off of Barn field Road. Or if you don't mind a stroll up the hill, park near the George Inn. Good local friendly pub that does pizzas and used as an away pub. Always get friendly conversations with the fans in there on match day. On leaving ..don't use A46...go through Nympsfield and head towards Froster hill or towards Wotton Under Edge.
  11. I realise that fella...but a nice incentive non the less..
  12. Allegedly SC will receive £20k for every game he's been in charge if he keeps them up.
  13. You have a point...however it still doesn't look great. I suggest probably someone else steps in on the finance side of things.
  14. What makes me laugh, is that we've had a policy with recruitment, where we look for intelligent players. Yes there are some exceptions to that rule, but a great majority of our players are well spoken, intelligent and can converse coherently. Yet we have a bloke in charge of that, that is none of them. I cringe at the thought of him talking with Agents. He's meant to represent us at the top...what does that look like to an outsider....
  15. Everyday is a learning day...didn't know that.
  16. I was going to put a bet on...both teams to score and Weimann scoring.
  17. ...do we have it written into his loan that he can't?
  18. It's the ' Maverick ' quote I find the most problematic.
  19. I just posted this in another thread...being different, doing it our own way or ' Maverick ' is our way. It's actually part of our values set out on Bristol Sport website Our Values Collaborative: As part of a wider group always remember our sporting partners and our community. Honest: To do the right thing – always with integrity and honesty. Ambitious: We never settle for second best. Engage, excite and entertain. Maverick: To be bold and challenge the norm. To have confidence in doing it our own way. Progressive: To be innovative in pushing for what’s possible. Breaking new ground and constantly evolving to be world class

  21. He's the right manager for FGR right now imo @Frenchay Red I see managers as being the right fit at the right time for Clubs. I won't go over well documented stuff from the past re his time here...I know I'm in a minority on that aspect. However...I said before FGR appointed him, that he was exactly the type of manager to keep them up in that Division. I hope he does.
  22. Probably didn't want a squad photo of this season with NP in charge. Hence now.
  23. Last two results against Walsall and Bradford have been impressive, as both of those teams hadn't lost in 5. Sadly Grimsby won tonight as well. Hope Cotts keeps em up.
