  1. The semi final against Hereford was great fun. Used to stand in the lower Williams nearest the East End. Always boisterous. Maybe the shirt was from a game in the lead up to the final. Season 85/86.
  2. Pretty much. I've had the good fortune to visit loads of them when I regularly watched Lazio play. Genoa was my favourite. Not really.
  3. It's not a British thing about ' Nostalgia '. I have many friends in Italy and other European countries who all said we are nuts for pulling down old stadiums, like Highbury and parts of Villa etc. Anything designed by Archie Leitch defined British football. https://footballgroundguide.com/stadiums-archibald-leitch-design#:~:text=Archibald Leitch biography,-Born in Glasgow&text=He would go on to,lives on to this day. I want a Stadium with history, bang in the centre of the community. Each stadium with it's own identity. Surrounded by pubs and places to socialise. Free parking on match days and good public transport connections. An away end, home end, good acoustics. Both with Terracing. Sides with seating. No electronic advertising around pitch. Lights turned off in stadium on night games. Stands close to the pitch. I don't want violence, but I want an edge to visiting the ground. An atmosphere. ( Which the Club say they want, but do everything to deter it ) I don't want it to feel like I'm visiting a shopping Arcade or Cinema, which it does now. Lastly...I'd crack down massively on drug use in the Stadium. More respect shown to fellow supporters. Look after, the kids, elderly, infirm. Respect and look after them...don't abuse them. More 'Policing' by the 'elders' of the ' tribe'.
  4. I'm gob smacked you've never heard of cloud seeding. I thought everyone knew about it. It's been going on since the 40s. It's been used to control weather in both good and bad ways. Disrupt the weather of an ' enemy ' country, destroy it's produce, manipulate their export and profit. It's all documented. In the same way people try to debunk chem trails. You've only got to look up in the skies to see it now. Water vapour vanishes. You get what are dismissed as thin veil clouds fogging the skies like a white mist. We had blue skies, clouds and planes water vapour trails in the past. We now get that...as well as the Criss cross of trails that don't vanish, just spread into a white dull mist in the sky. I've been in some countries where I've woken in the morning to be seen a criss cross pattern in the sky...not on any plane routes...white trails that just turn into one big thing white veil in the sky. Happened in California a lot.
  5. Well he does love his Rugger...all sideways and backwards.
  6. Surely we should have more than that, bearing in mind we are a Top 6 Squad
  7. This has always been my favourite tapas spot. I know it's Bath, but it's a no brainer on the train. Looking forward to trying the new Chefs work, to see if it's good as the previous one. Anyone else been and rate it? La Perla. https://www.la-perla.co.uk/menu/ https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5yL334IWVe/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==
  8. That'll be all the coke being consumed. Same goes with the National anthem at Internationals. Always sang way too fast.
  9. I used to think the same, until I moved and worked abroad. It wasn't until I moved away, that I became more proud of my roots, heritage, traditions and nostalgia. I missed them. On moving back to blighty, it's kept with me. Drink up thy Zider will always resonate with me as our clubs ' unofficial' anthem. Imo...it should be blasted it more and fans encouraged to sing it. After all the likes of ' you'll never walk alone' and ' Delilah ' aren't modern by any standards. 60s. And yet those Clubs youngsters sing them with pride along with everyone else. We're a bit useless at tradition as a club imo. Chop and change our kit all the time, badge changes, no anthem, nothing is ' ours'. Even the Gas beat us on that front. Ask anyone in football where drink up is sang, and we will be top of the list. Let's own it more.
  10. That's very much how I see it Dave. It'll be interesting to see over the summer who we recruit, who we release and what academy players are included in the first team. And whether any ' pathways' are blocked. Also if any words of truth are given by either the club or player re Mbude.
  11. We've been blessed in a short space of time, with academy players who were Championship ready and some now Prem. Under NP I think he included some academy players, even though they weren't capable of playing well consistently at this standard. But then he wasn't given money to bring in players that were considered any better. At this present time under Manning, he's being given money to spend. To bring in loans. Imo, what we have in the academy right now, isn't Championship ready. Let's be honest, we've been very blessed in recent years. I also really believe that BT would push for players to be included in his previous role. In his new role, imo, it's no coincidence that inclusion has fallen off, regardless of whether they are good enough or not. Previously he was judged on the academy. Not now under his new role.
  12. Land of hope and glory seems a bit random...
  13. Mad agents fees. 50k more than the Gas. In fact only 7 teams in league 1 had higher agent fees than bottom of League 2 FGR. Shocking. Especially when you look at the disinterested players.
  14. Cotts after defeat

    Shirt?

How about red and white quarters like Rimini...thatll piss em off
  16. spudski

    Shirt?

Sounds like a plan. Wouldn't mind that with blue round collar and cuffs.

    Shirt?

    Like Feyenoord?
  18. He also said how important James, King and Wells have been for us and that our young team need that experience. Perhaps pass that on to Bristol Sport. He also said about his love for NP and explained eloquently the reason why City chose to go down the route of more coaching on the training pitch to kick on from mid table, and that being the reason they chose Manning. An explanation that if BT and JL had said would have been accepted better...but no...they just chose to state bollox like they normally do. Sadly you to aren't clever enough to know when and what are the right things to say...if bad timing and bullshit was the recipe for success, Bristol Sport would be Champions league. Sadly they actually believe they are proficient.
  19. City absolutely strolled that. It was like a training session. So relaxed. No pressure what so ever. Good win...but jeez...that's the worst performance from an away side I've seen in a long time. And they finished 7th last season.
  20. This game is being played like a pre season friendly. City safe...nothing to play for, and knocking it around with no pressure. Blackburn awful...they are far from safe. Just jogging about. Blackburn fans should be more than concerned.
  21. You know fair well that my posts aren't mostly waffle. Just be honest...we just disagree a lot on many political and social issues. And have locked horns over it. I'm happy to agree to disagree and put a line under it. Respect and thank you for the apology, many wouldn't. So appreciated fellow red
  22. Yes...pointing out the ******** who called it racism. Quoting him in the thread title. Another woosh...jokes on you it seems.
  23. With respect to people about racism. What has that got to do with Eid? Eid is a Muslim celebration. Any race can have the religious faith of Islam. It's very apparent in recent years that the religious faith of Islam and anything racist has been clouded and blurred. This has nothing to do with race or the colour of a person's skin. It's purely a religious celebration carried out by the faith of Islam. It's religion not race.
  24. Makes me laugh how everyone of there establishments has a name that finishes with the letter O. The one they had in Cardiff covered in portraits of Mussolini was also very odd. Apparently they get all their furnishings or did from a warehouse in Romania. If Wetherspoons did a lounge... It's a shame what's along that stretch of the harbour side. Just all a bit meh... Imo...it would suit smaller buildings, that could be let to non chain like establishments. You could easily double what's there with smaller units.
