  1. It’s a fair point you make about progressing every game, it’s disappointing though that we weren’t able to maintain anywhere near the level of performance or intensity that we showed against a superior Stoke side on Wednesday. The thing I enjoyed most against Stoke was the commitment, effort, work-rate and performances of Scott and Benarous (and the 3 points!). Today we were limp and passive. I don’t mind losing to a better side when we give our all but today we were so submissive, getting the basic fundamentals of football wrong.
  2. Avoid getting knocked out when going for a header?! He plays the game at 100% and is always committed. I would much rather that than someone pulling out of challenges and headers because they don’t fancy it.
  3. Fantastic performance both. I genuinely think their courage and fearlessness in the midst of the battering we were getting at the start helped them more senior players grow in confidence. 100% effort and plenty of skill , Top job!
  4. Love the commitment from Scott there but lucky not to be off I reckon
  5. He’s been very impressive so far in my view, Only concern for me is how many injuries he picks up - hopefully taken off as a precaution tonight, think he’ll be a star if we can get him on the pitch consistently
  6. Terrible back pass by Williams, bad tackle by Callum, could have conceded a penalty and they’ve hit the post. Lucky to be 0-0
  7. Correct. If someone got a visit from the police due to accessing the web, dark, deep or otherwise, then they were doing or accessing something illegal.
  8. I wasn’t there yesterday but certainly sounds like an improvement all round. I’d be much happier watching City with the likes of Scott and Benarous given their chance rather than recycling the same old players who have obviously been part of the problem. Key could be getting Williams to play 15-20 games in a row rather than in for a couple out for a couple with injuries, looks very good from the little I’ve seen and we should be looking to build the midfield around him.
  9. Not a fan myself, don’t think he was ever as squeaky clean as he made himself out to be but clearly much better than the likes Smith and Warner. That’s a topic for another day; likeable Australian cricketers, Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch seem like good blokes. I wonder if they’ll return to Smith for the captaincy, Cummins would be a good option in my view.
  10. Tim Paine has fallen on his (pork) sword! Not the kind of thing the Aussies will want just before the Ashes but may end up working in their favour as it will mean they can select someone based on ability now.
  11. Landlord in episode 6 is the owner of Longwell Records
  12. Happy for NZ, If we had to lose to anyone glad it’s them. Jordan’s over was terrible but even with that if we had another 15-20 runs that would have seen us through, always felt we were light.
  13. I’m just negative because I’m home and not still there watching it! Could be a close finish
  14. Not sure about that, the only one left is Peter Carol
  15. And he wants To come back when he can? ‘yeah I’m sure that’s the case’ Did not sound convincing!
  16. Shame for Mills, looked out of sorts against Australia and SL so wonder if he may have been carrying a niggle before he pulled up. Be interesting to see if they go Topley or Wood
  17. Who’s off to the T20 World Cup then?
  18. I’ve not seen any footage but if all they did was celebrate is it really proportionate for the police and Rovers to be trying to identify a few simpletons doing a little jig of delight after a rare win in the fourth division of English football? I believe in looking after those less fortunate - Gasheads should be allowed the odd moment of enjoyment to distract themselves from their woeful club, miserable existence and the fact the gap’s 21st birthday is upon us.
