Booked in to Pazzo on the 23rd. Have mourned pasta loco ever since it shut so suddenly. Here’s hoping it fills the void

If you like your pasta Pete, would give La Panza a go if you haven't already. Quirky little place, but the food is fantastic.

At what expense tho? Playing the 11 v 11 in the break has caused Atkinson to have a set back. We have over 3 months now of relentless football with a very small limited squad.

I have my concerns that Manning isn't the right fit and isn't what we were looking for. If he needs time to get his ideas across then that backs up my concerns.

Yes it's unfortunate, but players get injured in training all of the time. Are you suggesting Manning played him despite being told he shouldn't by the medical team?

Also, you seem to be suggesting that his ideas should be adopted instantly by the players. Is that realistic?

Myself and Mrs C were fortunate enough to visit The Chefs Table yesterday afternoon and wow, what a place! Fantastic food and staff. As it was quiet we had private dining and went for the 7 course tasting menu with wine flight . Every dish was a work of art and paired perfectly with wine .
Michelin recommended this place should have a star without doubt.
Not cheap but worth every penny !

Yes, Mrs Turnip and I went a few months ago. Was superb. Yes it's expensive but, the food was faultless and a really nice atmosphere and great staff. Well worth it

Certainly don’t see a way back for him under Pearson

Not sure I agree with this. Weren't some saying the same about Pring when he was having no involvement? Just think it's the way NP deals with certain situations, whether it be attitude, commitment or whatever. Hopefully he'll rise to whatever challenges he's been set and he'll come back a more effective player.

    black or white

Rules generally are though - it's kind of the point!

In your scenario people will argue about whether the majority of the player was in front or not, the same as they argue if it's based on clear daylight, or based on the foot etc. The point is whichever way you want to define offside, you either except there will be mistakes or you use VAR to reduce the mistakes from happening.

The main reason for this VAR decision being wrong is the actual current offside rule. FIFA or whoever it is who sets the rules seems to have forgotten what the purpose of the offside rule is, which is to stop goal hanging.

If the rule was changed so that if you can clearly see that the attacking player is ahead of the last defender then it's offside. Can't be possible to get it wrong then. This current rule of the attacking player's big toe nail is offside is just bonkers.

How do you define "clearly see" though? Wherever you draw the line it will still need VAR to determine whether it's offside for the close calls. I think the reason was human error. Need to look at control measures to stop it happening again.

    Don't like the manager?

He [has his favourites]/[doesn't know his best team]

You do realise it's possible to like someone, but still criticise some of their actions right?

Was delicious to be fair. Loved the loaded fries. Had the bronx with bacon, will definitely go back to try a chicken burger. Really lovely interior and just love that area of Clifton village, find it mega relaxing.

Burger Theory still my favourite Bristol burger place for sure though.

Ah, I've not been there since they were a pop-up in Kong's - will have to go back.

Would recommend trying Danny's Burgers - they are a pop-up/mobile based at Fierce & Noble's tap room. Very tasty.

For me, the best burgers by a mile were at Chomp - sadly no longer around.

Doing Milk Bun tonight - first time so buzzing, any recommendations for those who’ve been?

What did you think? I went a couple of weeks ago and had the Pablo - thought it was excellent. Fries are OK, chicken wings are great. Would say slightly on the pricey side, especially the beers, but probably standard for CV restaurants. Would defo go back again.

So with Cornick playing better, O’Leary not at fault for the goal last night we’re on to Weimann being the scapegoat I see.

It’s like last season never happened, isn’t it?

You can criticise a player with meaning you're making them a scapegoat.

I like Wiemann, but I can't see how anyone can say he had a good game yesterday. His passing was poor and it was made to look even worse by the fact we were in dangerous positions and we could have had more chances had he been more composed. Could say the same about Tanner and Dasilva's crossing too - awful. If we can get better at all that, I think we'll be a force.

And that was my point...it says on the Club website that he denied doing it in the way it was adjudged.

If he's denying it, then it can only be one conclusion, in that he's saying he went for the ball.

Ah sorry, I thought you were arguing that he went for the ball. See what you are saying now.

@Bob Turnip why the laughing emoji at this comment?

Sykes denies doing it...denies it was done through violent conduct / retaliation.

If he's denying making his action through retaliation, deemed as violent conduct, what other reason would he have given for sticking his leg out whilst sliding on the ground ...other than going for the ball?

I've no idea whether he denied it or not, but I'm not sure a player denying it means that based on his word he therefore must have been going for the ball..... Especially when the video clearly shows to anyone an intentional kick out and contact with the player.

Not a shock after his public criticism of his players and the culture within the club. Surprised that it took Spurs that long to sack him.

In recent years Tottenham have had some quality managers but none of them have taken the club where they want to be. There’s a rumour that the Potch could well return………..:dunno:

Suggests it's not a manger problem then doesn't it and that Conte maybe quite right with his comments.
