Theres an interesting book; Outliers by Malcom Gladwell where they explore “the Matthew effect” outcomes based on birth month for the Canadian Hockey team and how being born a certain points can create disadvantages due to cut off dates for age groups when they are kids. -

Shame he didn’t progress with us but this is a good move for him. He says in his interview for the U’s he felt unwanted at city, interesting comment.
-
Great news, always liked him as a player especially as he’s ex Wimbledon & comes across really well in the interview.
-
Impressive, he speaks so well in a way you can’t help but believe players will work for him. Keep the bulk of the squad and I think Kompany will take them straight back up. I suspect a player like Brownhill will lost stay there for this season and back the project
-
No, but should still be in the building ready to start work, maybe they can find some filing for him to do.
-
Good luck to him, hope he finds his mojo at Coventry but boy what a waste of a signing he was. Feels good to move some of the divisive players on at last.
-
Oh right, surely should be reporting for fitness training anyway if on the payroll?
-
Is that Ravanelli, I thought they got a random Boro fan from local working mans club.
-
Doesn’t it really matter if he isnt English? Still be a great Southgate replacement & soon to be available.
-
LJ and his double substitutions will be over the moon with these new rules.
-
Yeah, just a bit - played europa cup final last month

Despite my dislike for the retro home kit, they done a good job on the training & leisurewear range, launch video below is solid

I don’t like it at all. When you see the chevrons it gets worse. Bloody wingtip collars whatever next. Feels like cheesy idea from a corporate marketing meeting that got far more traction than it deserved.
-
Can still be done well & social media is basically modern day chip wrapper, so who cares if get a few less likes.
-
These look ridiculous - the home one especially. What’s wrong with the classic green keeper shirt?
-
Time to move on, he hasn't done it consistently yet for us, so the law of averages suggest he isn't likely to either. Maybe a useful squad player on lower wage but he should really test his value with other clubs, international, good age lots of champ experience should get plenty of interest & IMO he could do with the fresh start. Much more interesting to see new players come in who may be able to take us forward Really nice guy & great with the young fans but believe it would just be better for all parties to move on.

Anyone but Leeds, their fans are unbearable.
-
Very good point, I’ve felt apathetic about Nige recently but credit where it’s due, job done for this season, but really need to see us push on next.
-
All well & good but what happens next season? As it stands it looks like we’re in for more of the same. What a delightful prospect.

First clean sheet since early December and no kalas in sight…

An inform & fully fit Atkinson like we saw the beginning of the season is something to look forward to, I believe he’ll be a really important player next season after 1st champ season completed. -
Lovely tactic from Bentley on the pen - leans to the right, waits then goes where the take puts it. Fantastic finish from Weiman. Based on highlight Bents must have been MOM
