West Bromwich Albion away match thread
Jeez replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Solid away performance & good rotation / use of squad Happy with that. -
Good idea, but there’s a strange obsession about stating 11’s in football. Being a squad player doesn’t seem as acceptable as it is in Rugby, especially when changes aren’t made unit 70-80 min mark. Semenyo from the bench is a strong tactic but he’ll be pushing for an Exit by Jan, so it won’t happen. I’d give Weiman a break and try Semenyo in there for a few games & bring the Conway / Wells partnership another start.

Millwall at home match thread
Jeez replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
We’re almost always terrible against Millwall at home & it was a real “something & nothing” performance from us today. Went in hoping for a decent result but deep down knowing it was probably going to be a tough, physical match we wouldn’t win. We’ll bounce back but missing Naismith dictating our play. -
Really? Before the queen dies we’re playing well & getting decent results. Preston game gets called off Play well against Norwich & Burnley but lose. Since then we’ve had a few dodgy results & lost Naismith bringing the ball out. Today was crap, no question but it’s a bit soon to be burning your session ticket Alan. Sleep on it & you’ll be fine tomorrow. As a city fan you must be fairly experienced when it comes to runs of playing badly.

So we can now agree we’re a worse team without Naismith. Many calling for him to be dropped in the thread with good few of us that could see what he brings despite the errors.

Or an improved contract, something not right with him past games -
I suppose it’s a positive that there’s a possibility of our manager being even a remote consideration by conspiracy theorists and that shows what a good moment we’re in. But…… it ain’t gonna happen.

From how one dimensional we have been past few seasons…..yes -

Yeah Possibly, I like Rob on the left tho, he’s seems more comfortable there. A fit Kalas & Naismith as defensive mid could be interesting against top, top, top teams. -

The mistakes are so frustrating but on the ball he’s making a difference - last season we so often lacked the carrier to bring the ball out of defence or find the next pass. And Zak Vyner - a really impressive performance, he seems to be developing really well this season -

How you work that out? They scored more goals, so they deserve the win - They we’re poor but still beat us. If only all our players were at it, Weiman was always a yard off the pace virtually the whole game & mistakes at the back cost us. Frustrating when you know we can play much better. Waited too long to bring on Semenyo -

Naismith might make mistakes but we play better with him in there this season. Although we do seem very average so far in this game -
why you should avoid trainline like the plague
Jeez replied to Never to the dark side's topic in General Chat
Trainline is soo much cheaper & tickets delivered to your phone. 10 x better than national rail. It’s like complaining about Ryanair, you know what you’re getting, Great when its good, terrible when it’s bad. -
I still can’t get my head around how the FA didn’t have a plan in place already agreed by clubs, where everyone knew what happens in the event the queen dies.
-
I agree & just makes the decision to move the Rugby to tomorrow even weirder and impossible to understand

She was also patron of RFU for 64 years

Why is everyone questioning Weiman’s availability- I assumed he was purely rested for the milk cup. Has anyone heard anything?

Remember When Some Wanted to Scrap the Academy?
Jeez replied to Port Said Red's topic in Football Chat
Reading this thread you’re 100% intent on degrading something that is a genuine positive strategy the club has employed to benefit us against the wealthier parachute clubs. This is one area I believe City have really invested into and actually done quite well, so far, but….. you seem to try & find any conceivable angle to knock it. Why? -

I’ll invest - anyone else in? Steve? Jon? -
I can see that that working: Goals! he’ll score a few He’ll score on each home & away day He’s more, much more than this He’s Tommy Conway

I still can’t I get over calling companies and getting a message saying: due to covid 19 pandemic our wait times……..? IMO Everyone is taking the piss in this country after the pando. £15 for match parking is a joke, any more and it would be worth taking a chance on park closer & risking a PCN
