Because he has an ankle injury
Anderson won't play for Lancs either and I doubt many of the Yorkshire boys will play at all
Fair enough hadn't seen that part.

Broad not playing any cricket until the ashes tour, strange why he can't feature for Notts just under the instruction to not bowl long spells, hopefully he won't be undercooked at the start of the tour.

So Leach's 103 wickets is more than anyone else in 4 day county cricket since the start of last season....

111/8

Yes - he got 86(I think) last game. He was 7 from 80 balls though. He could be scoring first-class centuries at that rate and for me shouldn't be in the England XI. imagine him and Cook opening... we'd be lucky to reach a 50 run partnership in 2 sessions. Whenever we've asked Cook to be more positive he's been crap. Hameed would bring the worst out of Cookie IMO
The words bounced and Aussie in the same paragraph scares me.
Westley, Broad, Root, Ali, Malan... walking wickets against pure bounce, Root maybe less so in this point of his career but has certainly struggled with it in recent years.
Could be a long winter!!
Can't say I saw much of Stoneman this summer, anyone know what he's like against the short ball?

On topic of the Somerset game... Hameed should be nowhere near the England squad
Got bounced out by Trego didn't he? Aussie quickies would be laughing at the prospect of him opening in Aus.

There's no way Yorkshire are winning their game with Surrey bar a stupid declaration from Surrey, Middlesex will be hard pressed to win their as well given how much time they've lost. We're in a great position here if we can get a result against Lancs.

Well in Leachy! Seems he's going to be the bowling equivalent of Hildreth for being ignored by selectors, all the better for Somerset I suppose.

22/2 whose this Trego lad bowling

Good news for those who backed him to be top scorer at 100/1

A great battling performance unbeaten in 3 tough games + 5 points, LJ can be rightly proud.
Fielding 7 didn't do much wrong.
Wright 6 was ok.
Flint 9 just immense again. MOM.
Baker 7 looks a better player than the one we had on loan.
Bryan 6 he played well but was caught out a few times defensively.
ODowda 7 first 20 minutes I thought here we go again but then settled in and played well for the rest of the game.
Brownhill 6 played well but sometimes far too casual in dangerous positions.
Smith 7 another terrific game, 2 bad mistakes but always available and willing to have the ball.
Leko 7 for his 1st half performance, always a threat, ran out of steam in the 2nd.
Reid 6 his fitness and enthusiasm is terrific and always a threat tonight his passing radar was poor.
Diedhiou 6 not quite working for him but to be fair he never hides and tonight there were a few glimpses of what he can do.
LJ 9 again his tactics were once more perfect and his substitutions spot on, I think we miss Pisano and a back 4 and he has work to do on defending set pieces.
Taylor 7 was busy and caused problems.
Pack 7 steadied the ship.
Patterson 7 looked bright.
Hard to see from the Sky clips, was Flint at fault for any of the goals? Looked as though he lost his man a couple of times which lead to the goals, although not 100% sure it was him.

Lets wait and see then. If he's so good why are we all interested in who will buy him. Surrely he is better off staying with us.
The new philosophy, sell players when they're at their peak value. We potentially have a player whose barely got into our team for his whole career with us and is turning 25 this season, if we get a big offer for him it would make sense to sell. Engvall will be back from his loan by then, Đurić hopefully fit as well so wouldn't have to go out and buy a striker in January, could look at keeping Hinds around too. All pretty meaningless until January though and how he's done until then.

Clubs will be taking notice but he'd have to maintain his form for a far longer period for a big bid to come in.
If he can get to 10 by January I wouldn't be surprised if we were receiving some tempting offers.

Only if someone will pay that amount
Guess we'll find out in January Said we were turning down bids for him in the last few weeks so there's some interest in him at least.

If, if, if .......................... settle down
Okay, take away the 30 goal part, top scorer in the league and 5 goals in 7 games, players with that scoring record are worth £5m.

Settle down
5 goals in 7, top scorer in the league right now. If he were to continue at his current rate he'd be on for 30 odd league goals!

He is actually worth 5m now fair play
LJ wasn't kidding To be fair, don't think anyone could have predicted how well he'd have started, credit all round for how he's done.
-
Don't think anyone wouldn't have taken a point if offered at the start, good work lads

Unmarked again it seems

SSN was on break and nothing came through on the BBC update so wasn't believing anyone

So are Sky going to cream themselves as much over Browne's goal for PNE as they did over Steve Sidwell's?

Someone not marking Jota, would need to see the replay again to see who it was.

Edit - Just remembered Phantom posted similar pic, but good to see Craig getting in on the act, also that's one heck of a stance from the batsman...
