I understand him not being played yesterday with no Vyner or Dickie alongside him but if manning isn’t going to play him get him either out on loan or back in the unders to get him game time and rotate the unders to spend time on the bench

He's experienced enough at the levels below to know his ins and outs, he also would have had 2 senior enough players alongside him as well as part of a back three, factor with little riding on the result it was the pefect time to try him again

    Character building 😉

As for the back-3 yesterday, McCrorie has played loads at CB north of the border, inc left side in a 2.  I accept Tanner was really out of position, but the other two weren’t.

That would be why I only mentioned Tanner :fear: the 'and make shift RCB' was still referring to him

  3. Knight-Lebel is the curious one for yesterday that Manning would rather put a RB and make shift RCB in a back three in the middle of the back three over playing an actual centre back there, I'd be getting pretty annoyed by now if I were Knight-Lebel, he's played just 1100 minutes (including U21's) in what's one of the most important years for his development where he's had to sit on the bench for the first team where either Atkinson gets fit in the summer or we probably buy another CB over him.

Top 6 at least L2 budget this season. I think increasing that by 50% for National League would be insane but this is Dale Vince. A fool and his money are easily parted.

Their biggest problem will be getting rid of the vast majority of overpaid and disinterested players.

A lot of budgets in the national league are bigger than those in league two, bigger attendances and no form of financial fair play in the national league has seen Wrexham have a bigger budget then half of league one when in national league and Stockport were paying players 6k a week when they were there.

Kookaburra experiment needs to end, teams shouldn’t be this bat dominant in early April (bar whatever is happening at Gloucester) you can tell players don’t like how bad the ball is

  8. The luxury tax would be a horrendous rule, what incentive is there for owners who treat the club as a play thing to make sure the club is sustainable? You essentially just add the tax amount into how much you plan for paying on transfers but the club will be the one lumped with the debt & repayments whereas owners will just sell when they get bored or see things going bad. Clubs already making huge losses will just see 'you won't get punished for spending more' and throw money at it trying to push themselves up the league.

Wasn't it just to stop displaying controversial messages on the base layer?

A bit harsh when it ends up displaying 'Happy Birthday Grandma' and what happens if they just pull it up a bit?

Thought it was also to limit sponsorships being displayed, wasn't shirt but the Niklas Bendtner and Paddy Power thing comes to mind

If the player wants the move, the player wants the move. Up or down doesn’t matter. Obviously Twine can’t force their hand but if he really wants to go and will kick up a fuss at Burnley they’ll be more willing to negotiate. That’s how so many of our sales have been explained on here in the past, it doesn’t matter that we’re the ones buying rather than selling.

The assumption is that Twine wouldn't be happy at Burnley though, he may want to play for City/Manning but that doesn't mean he'd be unhappy to go back to Burnley & play for Kompany

My guess would be England use that third spot for Trafford and give him experience of a senior major competition with eyes on him being number 1 in years to come, no expectation for him to play, like England did with Walcott and others when they’ve been young

When they say betting on matches can anyone clarify, what is wrong with 50p on say Man Utd to draw at Villa or does it concern bets placed on matches in which he plays (first booking etc).

Taking my tin pot scenario further if the 50p becomes £10k does that change anything? if he is betting on matches where he can determine an outcome, that is obviously a problem and he deserves everything coming to him

Or is all betting on football against the rules for players

Betting on any football for anyone who works in football is banned, be it players, back room staff and potentially even those who just work for clubs. Essentially its something like the equivalent of insider trading for football because you can have information thats not available publicly. And if players were allowed to gamble it opens up the risk of spot fixing in the game where players deliberately get booked or concede fouls etc and manipulate the outcomes, that one yellow card may not influence that game itself but the accumulation can affect when their game is they're banned for etc.

Trust me I have no news or even speculation.

We have been drifting and especially post NP. A takeover can be good..Hull looks fun. A fun club to follow right now.

He also has the right idea- cheaper tickets, Home fans behind both goals with Away fans more at the side and I dunno the two kinda feed off each other.

Our ownership has just lost it I'm afraid.

Financially it could go South but it looks like a club going places. Excitement, some big ticket signings and quite fan-centred.

Cheaper tickets, doubling the wage bill and what are likely some expensive loan signings which I imagine won’t just be this season, if they don’t go up in a couple of seasons they could be in trouble

I honestly think that they would appoint Hannibal Lecter before Warnock or Evans.

    Here's hoping, anyway. 🤞

Evans and his assistant must be the most disliked manager/assistant in the top 4 leagues and not in a ‘I’d like them to be our manager’ way

For me just in performance you take Cavill's style of performance from the man from uncle, he showed in mission impossible his fight scenes are good if he has a good choreographer.
