  1. Can I introduce you please, to a lump of cheddar cheese…
  2. I was on holiday few years ago and, laid by the pool, my mrs was walking over to the shop. She shouted over “do you want a newspaper?” Anything except The Sun I answered. With that, a bloke wandered over holding his hand out. “Football fan?” He asked. He was a Liverpool fan who was chuffed I wouldn’t buy that rag. Had a good chin wag with him, he was a nice bloke. Brian Tinnion came up a few times mind…!!
  3. Never mind that. I want to know what happened to the Spice Girls' Mel A...?
  4. Yep. Used to buy the odd T-shirt or polo for my holiday, but not done so for yonks. It’s all tat in there now and the designs are overly fussy. What’s wrong with a plain design with the robin on? Not expensive to order, no worries about going out of date if no sports manufacturer on it. Not sure who at the club is in charge of it, but whoever it is needs a good rocket up the backside.
  5. I think it’s sad that the fans of tomorrow can’t go on the pitch to greet their heroes. Back in the day it was the done thing, us youngsters would join the players on the pitch, our parents would hold back and watch. It’s a shame that grown adults can’t afford their kid’s that special feeling without acting like arseholes.
  6. Careful With That Axe, Eugene - Pink Floyd
  7. The full version of that video has got to be one of the most cringieworthy things ever. If you showed it to someone they'd probably assume Ipswich had just won the title...? No, just promotion...? No, made the play off's...? No, sorry, what, won at Lincoln......FFS..!
  8. Imagine being a fan of a club who's 'ground' gets ridiculed, by a FGR fan...
  9. I reckon the kid in his photo has written most of that.
  10. You old romantic major. Never going to happen. Every player wants to play at the highest level, and mostly, earn shed loads of cash. As much as I’d love them all to stay here, they’re not going to fulfil those ambitions at a club like ours.
  11. Never heard a city manager talk about the womens team before. It’s encouraging that Nige is buying in to the whole club. Hopefully he can lead us all on to the right path. Might make a change from the suit’s steering us into oblivion
  12. (I Never Loved) Eva Braun - The Boomtown Rats
  13. Undoubtedly Swiss was the problem, but as pointed out above, the Buck stops at the top. This isn’t the first time we have had a period of austerity under SL. The fact he allows his employees to run up massive debts (is it 120% wages to turnover…?) is ******* criminal..
  14. Absolutely spot on. Scatter gun. Anybody looking to defend the transfer policy of LJ and the slippery one, really hasn’t got a leg to stand on. 60 odd signings, 2 success, maybe half a dozen to ten who did ok and we managed to recoup a decent fee. But on the whole pretty poor. The foreign experiment with Hegeler, Duric etc was bad enough, but the losses racked up (£5m Fammy leaving for nowt) are pretty unforgivable. The worst thing is, the bloke(s) who allowed it to happen have done it before, and are still here.
  15. Done. Old man took me to my first game in 1973, so I’m balls deep now. Anyhow can’t let the old bugger suffer on his own now, can I…?
  16. Sorry, but no worst ever back 4 can be complete without Marvin Harriott.
  17. Under 23 coach Mike Jackson taking the team for Sunday's game at West Ham. Could be a Thriller.
  18. Fantastique… Rangers 2 up as well
  19. Too early for most on here (except maybe 1 or 2) Rest Easy Sir. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/con-sullivan-1928-2022/
