Not sure what's funnier, that they've only sold 3,000 season tickets despite being on the verge of back to back promotions, or it's their highest season ticket sales in 16 years..

We sold 4000 in one day 2 weeks ago!!

Looking at that as well, early bird prices stop tomorrow. They currently charge £410 for a ST in their West Stand (more than my ST in The Dolman) If they **** up promotion, they could be charging £450+ for s ST to watch basement football.

Well if they get promoted into league one and spend a couple of mill then maybe he is what they see he is.

Also this UWE saga is so boring Imo if I were a rovers fan (thank the Lord I am not) I would have given up on the dream of having a brand new stadium.

Give it time mate, it's only been 5 years since the original announcement on the UWE. They'll be building a car park in about 6 months time, so things are obviously moving along nicely....

So, this guy was watching a live Sags reserve game via YouTube last night:

"Funnily enough i was in pub last night when entire pub was watching man city v psg and i was watching rovers reserves v forest green on my phone on you tube was quite funny watching their faces when i was jumping up at the goals"

New one on me.  I didn't know YouTube had started streaming reserve games live....that's because they don't!  What a tit.

Sorry to piss on your chips, but they do. At least Brentford do, I watched some of our reserve game there via you tube. (Think there was a link on here)

  4. Bristol City manager Lee Johnson:

"The crowd were brilliant, I asked them for it and they delivered so I thank them for that,

"It was always going to be difficult, it was a bit edgy, the referee probably didn't help he had a poor 15 minutes.

"Our players were getting frustrated, I was getting frustrated and the fans were getting frustrated.

"But we kept our composure, kept our structure and we were the side that looked like going on and win it in my opinion."

Where was LJ for the other 75 minutes..in the toilet??

    Bristol Rovers season tickets 2015/16: 3,526 (http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets/)

Season tickets sold yesterday: 4,000 (https://twitter.com/BristolSportAB/status/717237342461931523

They are a massive club with the best fans in the world. How we envy them.

“Last season’s average home attendance, for league matches, was 6,636, while our average attendance this season is just over 7,500, which indicates that supporters believe that this club is at the beginning of a very exciting journey.

    And morally repugnant.

Twice, Rovers have sniffed around the anticipated corpse of the sporting clubs of this city, with their "noble" intentions to "buy" the greatest asset, at the most convenient time for them. Funny how they weren't making offers to "buy" Ashton Gate or the rugby ground at any other time.

They have helped themselves to their own ground not through their own graft and endeavour, but by biding their time and through sneaky opportunism and mendacity.

    Parasites

Couldn't agree more. I said at the time, what the gAss did to the rugby club was akin to picking the pockets of a dying man.

And yet, Hull were 3 wins in ten going into yesterday.

It sounds like you were "beaten" before the game started, and possibly one or two of the team!

Seems like the international break came just at the right time for them, and the wrong time for us. They had a chance to regroup after a little wobble, while we probably lost a bit of momentum off the back of a 6 goal win.

Ah, **** it, what's done is done, roll on Tuesday.

Wow. I pay pretty much the same price to sit in a brand new stand in the Championship as I would have to pay to stand in a shitty old stand and watch League 2 football.

That's ridiculously expensive. And people complain about our prices!

I also love the fact that 'The Family Club' charge u-16's £130 to stand where as our kids can sit for £50 and wear their free shirt while they're at it.

So the prices they were paying wen they were non league ha ha still brings a smile to my face . We're probably the same . Didn't realise it was so expensive to watch that shit

Yep, my mate has been a ST holder down there for years and he pays more to sit in that shitty little Dribuild Stand, watching non league/Div4 shite, than I do to sit in The Dolman.

Has anyone seen the article where Harry Redknapp suggests a couple of Jordan internationals could play for the Gas? Would be hilarious to see the new owner force a couple players on DC that can't speak a word of english and have no clue about english football!

Harry thinks they have several that are good enough but surely if that was the case they wouldn't be playing in the middle east still.

If they move to Roverzzz it'll be like playing in middle earth..

That`s now been disproved by the latest research at CERN. Apparently the strong gravitational field theory was flawed and it turns out that when you factor in string theory the million is actually worth the square root of **** all. Professor Brian Cox is going to do a programme on it for `Made In Bristol`.

It will probably explain in great detail The Higgs-Bullshit particle.

It can't be scripted, they just keep on giving.

    My personal favourites

"Think it was said around the time they announced plans for ashton vale. Well, people are talking about us worldwide now!!"

    and

"Our bloke got his own bank so AV a bit of that Lansdown!!"

They're a brilliant bunch.  Long live the gas.

I got me own car, doesn't make me Lewis Hamilton.

Do Stoke fans go through this with little Port Vale? Do any other Championship clubs have L2 types seeking attention?

He's obviously got all excited by the news that the gAss are hoping to start work on a car park, at the UWE, hopefully, in October.

Don't know about you, but that kind of news would have me all of a tizz if I was a gAsshole.....

By the way, is this their club history book......????
