And also; if you are the richest club in the world, why do you need external investment to build a £20m stadium?
Tis all terribly strange

It can't be scripted, they just keep on giving.
My personal favourites
"Think it was said around the time they announced plans for ashton vale. Well, people are talking about us worldwide now!!"
and
"Our bloke got his own bank so AV a bit of that Lansdown!!"
They're a brilliant bunch. Long live the gas.
I got me own car, doesn't make me Lewis Hamilton.

Do Stoke fans go through this with little Port Vale? Do any other Championship clubs have L2 types seeking attention?
He's obviously got all excited by the news that the gAss are hoping to start work on a car park, at the UWE, hopefully, in October.
Don't know about you, but that kind of news would have me all of a tizz if I was a gAsshole.....
By the way, is this their club history book......????

Spurious link of the day..................
Al Bundy......... now that takes me back. I seem to recall that his wife Peg's maiden name made her sound like the Gas manager. Or am I mistaken?

Wembley got built and is a great experience on a matchday. You had a good day out in 2008 so cant complain...
That really is the one straw you gAssholes have to clutch, isn't it!!??
Hope Al Bundy and the rest of the blue few don't take today's news too hard.....

As I said earlier, more teams come into it after today. Fulham certainly, Brentford and Huddersfield possibly as well.
Huddersfield away to Leeds next week. We could be above them at close of play next Saturday.
The more the merrier I say.

Hadn't noticed O'Donnell run the full length of the pitch to celebrate. What team spirit & togetherness!!!!
Yep fair play to Rodders!!
Seen someone on here earlier say it looked like the players weren't trying, but those are not the reactions of a group who don't care.

Mathews is in for Waggy?
No, Matthews keeps his place from Tuesday, Wilbs is in for Waggy.

For the life of me I can't work out who Wilbs has come in for! I know it's not hard to work out, but I just can't think!
Someone put me out of my misery!

"The appropriate Season Ticket Application forms will be printed and despatched as soon as possible, so we urge supporters to be patient and not apply until the forms are ready for completion."This has to be fairly 'unique' in this day and age of doing everything online!

I do recognise him but only as a Sky match summariser - I never realised he was a pro footballer. Wiki also states that he's a goalkeeping coach for the Nike Academy, whatever that is?
I remember when it was compulsory for all former footballers to become publicans or postmen. How times change.
Sky have obviously picked him up to tap into all his experience of 80 odd professional games. The fact he has a black country accent was obviously just a bonus.

I have never, ever heard of the former Wolves goalkeeper, Matt Murray but the fact that he had £1.6m to invest with McIndoe makes one realise how stupidly crazy are professional footballer salaries.
I've just googled him - he played for Wolves for his entire career which ran from 1998-2010 during which time he amassed just 87 first team appearances, retiring due to injury aged 29. An average of just over 7 games per season.
Works for Sky Sports now.

Looks like we (you, really) underestimated the Gas mass @glynriley - by 134! Such a throng.
Bugger, 134 extra fans. Where the fudge did they all come from?
Obviously word is spreading out to the hills that they have new wealthy owners and their world domination is well under way.

I feel like this thread has gone off from it's purpose, bashing the camel punchers.
I wonder if tonight's the big night that they sell out the minimal for about the 3rd time in 20 years??
Peeing down with rain, 500 mile round trip for the away fans, 3 defeats in the last 4, plus the fact you actually have to watch Roverzzzzzzz.
6500, tops.

Mentioned this game vs Forest to my mates today
Nearest we've been to a major final since 1909?
My main memory was the number of us in the away end. I could feel my ribs creaking, and me feet weren't on the ground for a full 20 minutes in the 2nd half. Easily >1000 over capacity on the away terrace. Brilliant times. Better than sitting down any day.
No, 1971.
