  1. people are quick to critise but are not forth coming with solutions,

If there is such discontent as some of these posts make out why isn't there fan protests sack the board chants from the stands and people getting together to see what can be done,

like at hull cardiff portsmouth chester newcastle man united and the countless other clubs fans that try to do something about boards they don't like,

The last time there was real protests in the stands that I can remember was against Laycock when Pulis was in charge,

Stop talking and do something if you want things to change

Asked the same question over the weekend. Needless to say, nobody answered.

You're right though, the fans that want rid of the board need to make themselves heard. Get in the car park outside the Williams on a Saturday, protest and make feelings known. I got involved when we were trying to oust Russe and his cronies.

Easier to do it on here though.

  2. No I wasn't. And I thought I made that clear when I used the words "apparently" and "if that is so". Sorry if you were confused.

I'm not confused at all. I know you're a typical poster who never goes, but slags the team off at every opportunity.

I mean, tweeting Twentyman under the guise of an imaginary hedgehog, complaining about a performance you never witnessed!!!!

    Brilliant.

  3. A couple of people have said that the players looked as if they didn't know what they were doing today if that's so, it's hardly surprising. After four months of coaching in one style of football, which was beginning to show results, they're confronted with a new manager with an exactly opposite style. I'd be confused, too.

Let me be clear about this - it isn't about SOD v SC. Exact the same criticism would be valid if SC had been replaced by SOD in the same circumstances.

    Spelling.

I heard a tweet from horace on Radio Bristol saying we looked harder to beat under SOD. Can you explain why YOU think that ? As it's clear your were not there today.

  4. As i said, his intentions were good but his actions were not. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Imagine if Lee Rigby's squadron had opened fire on the mosque where his killers prayed, would you say their actions were justified? If the germans did invade us, i think any resistance would have been directly at them and not on innocent civilians. So Hitler takes command of Buck House and Downing Street, I'll tell you what i'll do, i'll go blow up a public space where innocent people are walking around, that'll show them.

In Mandela's trial, he said he would be willing to die for his cause, and that i commend him for. But when it comes to bombing innocent people, I simply cannot bring myself to agree. He should have gone down the Malcolm X & Dr Martin Luther King or Gandhi route of preaching non-violence to achieve their aim. Killing innocent people makes him as bad as the oppressors he was trying to overthrow in my opinion.

well done Eco & cheese, by the precedent set by the pair of you, Hitler is now no longer responsible for the death of 6 million Jews. He didn't drive the trains to the death camps, he didn't pull the trigger, he didn't set the explosions, he didn't start the fires, he was in the government offices and hideaway retreats when these acts were going on. In Mandela's autobiography, he admitted that he ordered and "signed off" the church street bombing and his followers and fellow ANC / MK members carried out the attacks.

  5. A woman went to see her doctor.

"What seems to be the problem?" asked the doctor.

"I keep finding postage stamps from Costa Rica in my vagina" said the woman.

The doctor laughed and replied "Those aren't postage stamps, they're the stickers off the bananas"

  6. Well .... just because JL said they hadn't and he'd look like a big liar if they popped someone out of the hat too soon - but I agree it's not something that matters much now.   I suppose if we'll know by Monday if they have a plan!

It's what happened with Del though. According to JL, they didn't make any contact with SOD until after DMC had been sacked, yet SOD was installed within 48 hours.

I also don't think there is any need to rush this appointment. We've got Burt & Pemberton still in place who can, or should be able to, hold the fort until an the new man is announced.

  7. This is the worrying thing for me.    The Board said that they had a definite strategy but they didn't stick to it.   Yes the results were disappointing but even by JL's own admission in the interviews yesterday there were signs of improvement - albeit slow.    So what on Earth are they playing at?

I just hope they have already lined someone up and are keeping it quiet for a bit just to show some decency towards SOD.   If they have no alternative lined up, it confirms what I've said elsewhere that the Board are just a bunch of clowns

Why would they do that? They sacked McInnes on the Saturday night and SOD was in situ by Monday. Decency won't come into it.

  8. As they said about Jaws 2, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water. I was just considering returning, I thought the board had showed their resolve for the long term and then this. Now we have another 4 year plan, how long will this one last? Tuesday night got lots of people giving praise that didn't before and I was just looking at the fixtures for December feeling we could make a real move up the table. I don't get the timing at all, so, so disappointed.

The timing, other than the fact that Tuesday was a much improved performance, is spot on.

Gives us a bit of time to make an appointment and for said appointment to settle in before the transfer window opens in January. If nothing else, the board have learned that the sacking of DMC was at completely the wrong time.

  9. Absolute travesty of a decision, there is nobody on this planet who would get anything more out of this young bunch of players than sod could of. Watch us replace him with someone who hasn't got one iota of sods football knowledge or know how.

Yes we have been very poor this season, but we were improving albeit performance wise not results wise, had we stuck with sod I have no doubt in my mind we would have come good.

Completely disillusioned with this club at the moment. :(

If that's true then we've definitely had it.

Guess we'll find out soon enough.

  10. When the players ran out onto the field on Tuesday, there were 5.078 people in the stadium. I think that had more than a little to do with it.

You sure that's right. It was quiet alright, but not that quiet, surely?

  11. The Fourth Division beckons - but City can do it without me. The Board is showing once again that it knows frack all about organisation, frack all about the fans and frack all about football.

City will win a couple of games under New Manager Syndrome and then plummet like a stone. Well, they can do it without me. I've had enough of incompetent suits fracking up my matchday experience and fracking up my football team.

O'Driscoll was the one chance of putting back together the club that the suits had ruined. The club is, to coin a phrase, doomed.

Frack off, Lansdown, and take fracking Lindley's with you.

Like what happened under O'Driscoll you mean?

  12. great all the SOD haters have got there wish, i for 1 am gutted as slowly but surely the progress was coming. we are right back to square 1 again now with a huge downward spiral on its way. thanks sean and best of luck

Just as the Del haters got their wish. And the Millen haters. And the Johnson haters.

It has nothing to do with people hating him, and everything to do with a record that reads 7 wins in 38 games.
