Does that mean he is off?

I don’t know who Lee Brown is but further up the thread someone has mentioned that one of their unknowns has signed for Swindle....so Mr Brown is probably giving this other Sunday League clogger a lift to his new, equally detestable, club?

The lower league player we want to sign, if indeed we were ever in talks with Khan, decides to stay at tinpot poxy Yeovile to play in front of 2000 home fans, for a gibberimg, mumbling muttering **** of a manager, in a side embedded in a battle to avoid relegation and stay in the Football League.

We have managed to entice 1 Conference player this window, is that the highest level from which we have the clout to sign players?

    Absolutely shocking if true.

    Arrogant w@n kers.

I don't blame that player if he wanted to stay at Yeovil, they're a bigger club with better facilities for a start.

Angry little Sags are starting to scratch their misshapen heads wondering why no one wants to sign for them? Don't these potential signings realise they would get the chance to play in front of 'huge' 8000 crowds at the Mem every other week? :rofl2br:

Interesting thread on one of their forums about whether or not they should go bankrupt and start again rising through the leagues like a phoenix and take their rightful place in the Championship as a dept free club.

I know their imagination is amazing isn't it?

Anyway I thought I'd share this post.

We should never 'chose' to bankrupt the Club. It is unethical and screws local businesses. We should never stoop to what the sh*t did in 1982. We remain on the moral high ground in Bristol and it's always good look down on that lot south of the river for their disgusting behaviour. BRFC has been around for 135 years. The sh*t have no history.
However - you raise a valid point. Dwane Sports could sell the Mememorial Stadium and effectively leave BRFC debt-free and homeless. Even I don't think this will happen. I am pretty damn sure that the Bankers who own our Club are well aware of the option. OK - Dwane Sports cut and run. A chance for fan ownership? (Vaughan has some ideas on this).
At this point - pretty sure we would slide down the leagues. We would have to rent somewhere to play. Obviously this is the (unlikely) nightmare scenario.
But - Does it kill the Club? Nope. We become 'like' a phoenix Club... a chance to start again with a clean sheet. Could a Club ever recover from this? Well there are plenty of examples of this happening - Wimbledon being the best. And remember they have a far smaller support base than us.
As long as I have a team to support in north Bristol who play in blue & white quarters and have a proud history going back to 1883 - I can live with that. The UWE was the big one that got away. It was a chance for us to establish ourselves in a higher division. Maybe the UWE numbers never stacked up, we'll never know. FTG.

So they have the moral high ground?

Amazes me how they can blank out so much of their clubs behaviour.

    What a ******* pr!ck :laughcont:

    Deluded bitter morons.

We are Bristol City from Ashton Gate, our spiritual home of over 100 years. Bristol’s best supported team with attendances that have always been higher than theirs. We’ve played in the top flight. More than a century of League Football, never lost our place in the League Pyramid whilst they’ve spent their ‘proud’ history bumming around Division 3 (or lower :laughcont:) moving from shithole to shithole doing bugger all year after year.

    Well done them

Urgh - the MOST annoying thing I have witnessed on media and social media is....

When they beat Man U and played Man City, the press and other clubs fan pages started really churning out the “rags to riches, local club dun good” line.

Now, this is because a lot of people confuse us with them. They see Bristol and think “poor, lowly football club”

City could NEVER be described as a skint, small club. They’ve had a revolving door of monied investors.

I had to correct a journalist I got into an argument with online who said “yeah, but a few years ago they were down and out at the bottom of the football league pyramid”

So, our grief and relegation is now creating a false narrative of their rags to riches story. I had to point out multiple times their owner is a billionaire financial advisor, who has piled £100M plus change over more than 10 years. They are the opposite to a plucky, upstart club. They are money football on a stick. They’ve not even been in existence technically for 40 years and their gates were about 12k when they didn’t have a money hose, and the majority of their support are part time fans who turn up when they’re winning - look at the away support for an idea of how big they’d be without millions of pounds of investment.

I tried to explain that WE were the ones chucked out to bath, but consistently beat them leading to their fan base to commit some pretty horrific acts on us. I had to show them how getting a draw at Ashton Gate meant physical assault on PLAYERS, never mind fans. Why? Because WE were the little club and they felt they were the big team, and couldn’t handle us upstairs beating them.

Also, the “rags to riches” team put in a bid at the exact level of our release clause for our best player when it looked like we had a chance of overtaking them. Alleged dodgy contract dealings and financial clout to sabotage their rivals - poor, rags to riches club.

    This is them all over.

Trawling the net looking for anyone making positive comments about City and then boring those people to death with their highly biased view of Bristol football that happens to paint them as the poor little victims and plucky loyal fans.

Part time fans? As if they're any better.

Funny how they find 2-4k day trippers who want to go and watch them at big grounds they haven't played at for decades like Molineux or Stamford Bridge but only manage 2-300 at places like Gillingham. "We'd fill the UWE every week" they say but they can't fill the tiny ground they've got now. Not enough comfy seats for their plastics to sit on apparently.

Their fans are hardly angels either with their racist abuse of players and members of the public, thieving from players and their SC, boob cricket and various pathetic attempts to attack visiting fans outside their shithole. Bet that bitter turd doesn't mention any of that when he's begging for attention on Social Media.

Thing is though, the way I read the post, it's not the kid that nicked it, but the older "gent" in the background.  He keeps referring to "the guy", not the kid, and did mention that it was "the guy on the right of this picture....  They may have completely the wrong person that they're naming in any case!

So who had the phone down their kacks?

And why the **** would they be happy to put it anywhere near their mouth afterwards?

A lot of older sags like to bang on about that 50s team  being the best ever in Bristol, totally ignoring our spells in the top flight of course.  #gaslogic

Especially the Bristol City side of the early 1900s who finishes runners up in the Football League, appeared in an FA Cup Final and until this season jointly held the League record for most games won in a row.

Think that beats a couple of good seasons in the second tier.

Aww diddums, 5live didn't go all gooey over 'da famous quarterz' whilst interviewing a Bristol City fan about his job....Talk about needy  :laughcont:

They didn't get a mention because nobody gives a shit. Having a Chelsea supporting owner who doesn't want to spend any money doesn't automatically make them a household name in the Middle East.

According to GasLogic the latest one is to take our home attendances (to suit Sags let's just say it's 26,000) and then look at the 1400 we take away, then compare that to Rovers 8000 at home and 800 away. Therefore, the percentage of how many Gasheads go away in relation to their home support is markedly better than City's meaning that City fans are fickle and just like to attend home games whilst loads of Sags go to away games which make them more faithful and true and therefore a better club. I absolutely shit you not!!!!!

This isn't new mate, they've been saying it for years. All it shows is that their away support is average and their home support is shit.

Would someone be so kind as to post Roverzzz top 10 away followings this season? Will be interesting to see how their massive 'loyal and true' away support compares to ours.

    image.png.f1a87af0a9aa1975ad8d3c5aa744a7bc.png

As you know, we list our away attendances on our official site for all matches and for each season.

As the management at Rovers are as guilty as the fans for peddling the myth that they travel everywhere in huge numbers, I imagine the information you seek will be easily found on the Gas OS. I’m sure they wouldn’t hide those figures away.

I’ll be interested to see how many thousands they took to places like Gillingham and Bury especially as I’m constantly told that their travelling army puts our efforts to shame.

  10. I do find it amusing that they are getting their knickers in a twist crying about Bradford supporters celebrating their goal in front of them.

A few weeks ago the massive hypocritical turds were laughing and posting that video of the Wolves boss going mental after their winner at AG all over Facebook.

Why do these deluded idiots actually keep kidding themselves that any self respecting "Ted" would actually want to waste Saturday afternoon at that shitpit to watch that crap?

I don't think that Saghead was being serious, however like the times they joke about "fans locked out" they're seemingly mocking their own deluded mates who have come out with these things in the past.

    Or...

They're mocking us for laughing at their deluded mates who have come out with these things in the past?

    I don't know, strange behaviour.

9064 (760ish Bradford supporters in tents). 8200 loyal and true :noexp: - that's about as many as we took to the Etihad

8000 home fans in League 1, don’t think they’ve lost a match since before Christmas as well so it’s not like they’re  on a bad run.

How they’ve got the ******* nerve to slag off our support is beyond me?

    Huge travelling army.

No wonder they keep banging on about their away support.

I see they're all too happy to mock us for our away support at Derby last night, I wonder if the pikeys can be bothered to get out of their caravans and muster up over 9,000 fans for their big relegation dogfight?

It amazes me how a club with much lower home and away attendances than us spend so much time mocking our crowds?

    Are they that ******* stupid?

Stupid question as Sean O Driscoll would say.

Love your rant! But the Wolves game on Dec 30 didn’t sell out, it was still three times the average gas crowd though!

It would’ve been pretty close if it didn’t. According to the BP there was only 400 tickets left 2 days before the game.

It's their paranoid peanut brain minds working overtime due to City performing well in the league and knocking out a host of Premier League "Reserve" sides (GasLogic explanation).

There’s a post on the City supporters FB Page showing the individual prices of all the Man City and Bristol City players that started the game on Tuesday night.

Man City had ONE player who was bought for less than £10 million...

That doesn’t sound like a ‘reserve’ side to me but I suppose it helps them sleep at night if they can somehow convince themselves that we’ve just been lucky.

Their latest gripe is that the media are biased in our favour, particularly over the last few days when the local new is all about City. I kid you not!

What 'news' from the minimal I wonder would compare with the proper Bristol club taking 8,620 (according to Steve L) fans to the semi final of a major domestic cup competition against the best team in the country? Out of date crisps? New pasty supplier? New ground (I'm being silly now obviously)?

WTF did they expect? As for GGMI on the Man City forum,  what a jealous, desperate loser he comes across as. Their only real hope of success is if we fail, pretty much sums them up TBH.

That Bamber Gasgroin sounds like GGMI on the Man City forum, whinging and crying like a little brat.

Says he’s never seen so many football fans excited about losing a game before. He was probably one of the countless Gasheads who confidently predicted we’d get slaughtered 7 or 8 nil :laughcont:

Its not excitement about getting beat you ******* moron, it’s called PRIDE in the fact we held the best team in this country (one of the best in Europe) for 92 minutes when no one gave us a hope.

Look at all the compliments our club and fans are getting in the media from people in the game and other clubs supporters, must be absolutely gutting for a Gashead to read it. Even if we get thumped in the home leg we’ve had a great time and done ourselves proud.

    Sad jealous Gashead.:rofl2br:
