  1. Eddie Edwards was class. Seriously. Balls of Steel that man. What he did was amazing, especially given the lack of backing. He certainly maximised his talent.
  2. His Mrs would probably do a better job.
  3. Maybe he's trying to broker a sale for Mags & Steve? How much ready cash can you lay your hands on?
  4. Last season I renewed within a couple of hours of the renewals going live. This year I don't think I'll be as quick on the uptake. I really don't like being asked to renew when I'm not sure what division we'll be playing in. It's like being asked to buy a tv when they can't specify whether it's going to be a 55" or 65", but charging for a premium 65" anyway.
  5. It did. Cardiff showed how to clear the ball just after the goal. Exactly this. They'll just find a way to double down on their ineptitude.
  6. Freudian slip aside, exactly my sentiments.
  7. Oh sorry, my mistake. I was just going on what they said at the end of last weeks pod.
  8. Typical. Would be a good signing. Young, two-footed (not sure which is his front foot tbf), coming to the end of his contract.
  9. FBC is on at 6pm tonight. I think he'll have to ditch the party line, but might be interesting to see how IG maneuvers. He'll have to be more mobile than the team if he tries to sit on the fence. edit: I think it's 9am tomorrow per @REDOXO. I mean, it might be more enjoyable for some to listen today ...
  10. We've compromised two positions instead of one. Genius.
  11. I think that's what's called 'an innovative solution' in some parts.
  12. Maybe he should have one ..
  13. I know what you mean. I'll be crying inside as soon as I see Anis Mehmeti is in the starting line up. And then remark that COD was twice the player (and we were generally glad to see the back of him). I might even conjecture that Harry Cornick would do a better job out of position on the left, before going on a rant about playing two up top. Oh well.
  14. When I used to go away on CATS (coach 1 ), I used to daydream at most games about scoffing the massive bag of sweets I'd saved for the journey home. It's the little things.
  15. Yeah, I know that. I was just using them as an example of a team better than us.
  16. I'd buy him his bus ticket to Bournemouth, and I don't want him to leave. I just believe that a move away from Ashton Gate will be best for Tommy. He was clearly looking to move on before Manning came - at least one contract offer rejected - and now he's in a team that don't play to his strengths and is looking more and more 'hacked off' (you know what I mean) every week. I don't see that we will continue to attract exciting young talent when we treat the exciting young talent we already have like that.
  17. Filton, South Glos? Not that I want to defend him.
  18. 'The Master of Football' Wasn't that what he called his first book? Also known as 'The Real Coaches Bible', with a forward by Pep Guadiola
  19. He hasn't yet. He's got bags of potential, and some competitive football will be very useful. So I don't really see the downside.
  20. Nowadays that sort of run results in at least two sackings
  21. I assumed it would be football related. Good luck to him.
  22. I didn't realise he had one! Should I give it a listen? Maybe he come across better than he does on the radio ...
  23. "Welcome to Sound of the City. Tonight I'll be discussing Saturday's game with two City fans, Tony Wil......" "Click."
