Really ? Why ? With all the tossers we have had in charge? He’s done ok no better but ridiculous comment , decent guy , Pulis was gas scum .
Would save him spunking Lansdown’s nest egg up the wall in a vain attempt for Tinman and Lansdown to make it look like their appointment could be a success.
He’s stubborn, and had to be told how to play to save his job. Take the mid-block and sod off to Norfolk.

Oh hell yes. This would be the best news since Pulis left for Pompey. Please, please do it Norwich.

20 years last month, under this username at least. Pretty sure I had another name before this one for a few years. I come and go in spells, sometimes posting frequently, sometimes not. Don’t think I’ve ever been a “well-known” poster like some others.

King, James and Weimann is a lot of experience, know-how and good habits to lose in one hit.
King we knew about playing wise, albeit coaching wise efforts could have been made.
Weimann obviously we know.
James big one for me- still think he has plenty to offer, both ability and the experience and know-how
Is that all of our players with top-flight experience gone? Along with the only top-flight experience from the dugout and board room?
They’re trying to reach a destination that they’ve never been to, without anyone who has a map.

How the hell are we 3-0 down to this absolute shower of crap?
Take a look in the dugout.

Disgrace of a first half. I know it’s fancy dress day, but has Manning worn his clown suit today?
Or his usual? Or are they the same?

Why the need to repeat it over and over though? Its like you want Manning to fail so you can be proven correct. Every day, pretty much, its the same posts. Give it a rest
It’s not about wanting him to fail, it’s just pretty obvious to see what’s about to happen. Manning gets the summer and tries to instil his way of playing.
Worst case scenario, he’s backed in the market and brings in Twine and a few others on big money. Manning then goes full Manningball and starts the season poorly, sacked by December and we’re sat in a relegation battle with the Scott and Semenyo money spent.
Best case scenario, the board still don’t trust him enough to spend so we recruit lightly this summer and can quickly pivot to a new manager when the inevitable happens.

Backs up what I’m worried about re Manning long term. If he’s playing the “board’s way” for these last 8 games, who’s to say he won’t immediately revert to type after a preseason…

Tommy ain't going to be Premier League bound so maybe the grass won't be greener - or the wages that much higher.
He's no mug so he'll think long & hard about options/overall value of those options & not just monetary.
Well, not the English PL anyway. Maybe the SPL. Can’t help but think the continued Rangers links have substance, and as someone on the fringe of the Scottish team, that may well interest Tommy.

You surely haven't just worked that out. VAR had done nothing to enhance the game, made worse by the fact it's now being used for incidents beyond its remit. It's purpose was to correct CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERRORS, not to pick up all and sundry. It should be scrapped or at least be limited to clear and obvious errors viewed in real time and decided upon within 2 minutes. If you can't decide within 2 minutes it ain't clear and obvious.
The offside rule has to be one of clear air, it shouldn't be determined on the size of someone's footwear.
However, wherever you draw the line, there will always be situations where a player is an inch over. Every if you added a buffer, decisions could be an inch outside of that. Offside’s a factual thing; you either have VAR to help call it or rely on the eyes of the assistants.

No, red line means offside. If he was on, the line would have been green.

And why haven't the results been bad? Have you ever thought that maybe the board knew the players they had and wanted in the future and maybe just maybe the man they chose could bring out the best in them by somehow relating to them and using a different way, how amazing would that be?
Bloody incredible. Because this board have not shown an ounce of ability to forward plan on the pitch since they’ve been in charge of the club. They lurched from pillar to pillar to pillar to pillar to pillar…

We seem to be forgetting the Manning factor.
Our board are tied to him and need him to be a success, so will throw money at the problem to get him the people he wants. I fully expect to see Scott as a City player next year, for a big fee and big wages.
That’s what we do. Make stupid decisions based on the heart rather than the head. See David James, Lee Tomlin, Kasey Palmer…

I hope the majority of the recent performances are the “new norm”, guess we’ll know more again after Huddersfield on Saturday. Sunderland last Saturday was bloody poor, despite the 0-0.
And I think that’s where we’ll be with Manning. Some great performances, some dire, mostly average. Probably good enough to finish midtable, never quite bad enough to be sacked. Perpetual Bristol City.

For me, we’re safe. Preseason begins here. This should be Manning making his mark on how he wants to play going into next season and showing that in performances on the field.
But Manning doesn’t know how he wants to play and is coaching scared, so we’ll see poor performances and a few more draws.

They obviously haven’t seen much of us. We’re only capable of soundly beating the best teams. Against everyone else, we struggle.

Good luck to him. If he’s up to the role and all the travelling that comes with it, then it’s a great move. They’ve always struggled to attract and retain players because of geography, but having Nigel there could help.
Wouldn’t be a typical Argyle appointment, though. They prefer an up and comer.

Trouble on the metro too. Apparently a Bristol City fan has pulled the emergency stop on the metro. We have started again and now waiting at a station for 30 mins for the Police
Was it Lansdown? Getting everyone off the Manning metro?

Standard meltdown on here. No idea why we should be winning these type of games on the road. Yes it wasn't the best but you make sure you get something out of the game which we did.
Take a look at Sunderland’s form and see why we should be winning these games.

The way I saw it was that Manning could see we were playing badly and were lucky to go in at 0-0 so he hooked AM off and went to a back 5 to shut up shop and play for the point. I don't like that.
Brought on McCrorie to limit Clarke, tried kicking him all half. Worked, to be fair. But it’s a typical, reactive LM sub to stifle rather than change games.

Thought we were structurally better v Leicester than we were today especially first half today, when weighting for opponents etc.
I’d probably agree, there. Although we still gave up 3 or 4 clear cut opportunities. Better than 5 or 6 vs Leicester I guess

It’s not just lack of experience in the squad - apart from Wells, no one in the club has any experience at the highest level.
