Ok, let's have a look at the facts then...
1) Swindon Town were formed before the Gas.
2) Wally and his family are no where near as wealthy as SL.
3) They haven't averaged over 10k at home for 4 decades, they play in a small ground (that they never fill) in front of tents for stands. They've never even played top flight football.
I'm glad you've given the facts. I was fooled by how professional that looked and the use of the word 'official'.

I enjoy bantering with you lot.
Some of the replies are quite witty and not too many are hostile.
I know you hate me though.
It's not banter. We're taking the piss, and you've got no answer to it.

On a slightly off-topic observation, why is it that when using Chrome on my iPad, the little logo on the OTIB tab at the top of the screen is in a pale blue shade and not red?
It means you spend too much time on here.

He`d have to be some sort of deviant, to come up with that swill.
Can you get more deviant than a gashead?

The head chef at Lindleys is a gas head, must be.

That uncomfortable feeling is probably guilt.

Apparently the UWE build starts in March. No idea if it's true or not, but I thought some of you photographers might want to record the event, and you might need some notice to book a day or two off.
Such inane drivel, again. It's becoming rather tedious.

Be honest lads.
I know you love Bert, but is it a good idea to spend an hour of your life composing that latest pile of over-wordy nonsense? What does any of the implied irony or sarcasm actually mean except that he hates Bristol Rovers then and now?
If any of it was worth writing, or had some humour, I might laugh sardonically, but sadly I am not looking forward to part 2.
Can you ban him?
Bert contributes much more than you do.
"Ashton Gate looks like City Ground"
And since when did this forum need to satisfy your sense of humour?

That's an amazing stat.
Definitely. But they've only won 4 out of 11 mind.

I took a brief moment from celebrating another fantastic 3 points in the Championship to note that Rovers won again. Not without the opposition being given a red card AGAIN though, just before the winner.
Anyway, back to celebrating.

12 points clear of relegation zone. That's important.

I'm glad that Rovers fans are allowed to post on here. They provide much amusement and, just like their club, they're no threat. Keep it coming.

Bristol Derby, City victory.
Sounds great, it's been far too long.
I don't want any of them to visit our nice stadium.

Abraham's bailing you guys out a lot. Being a one-man team is not always plain sailing.
Wish we weren't so reliant on our top scorer the past two seasons and so far this season.
Still, at least he's actually ours.
You really have got nothing. Brilliant.

there's absolutely nothing you got on us.
This is the most important thing they need to remember. I don't know how they could argue otherwise.

Is that it? Is that what we've been waiting for? Even you can do better than that.

For all the gas fans who will look at this thread later to say we're obsessed (despite them having to come on here to say so). Yes we are, and this is why. Another gift straight from Santa's Grotto.

I wasn't really aware of Darrell Clarke before he was at Rovers so just did a quick wiki check. I'm not sure when this radio interview happened but he left Mansfield in 2001, that's quite some time ago to be fair.
Anyway, turns out he played for Hartlepool against us in that playoff game in 2004. Never knew that before.

Said it before and everyday being proven right, the guy is simply out of his depth. He was happy to play along with the billionaire comments when he took over, now the reality is he needs to spend money and serious money. The club is going to struggle in league 1; early signs suggest that and they need an influx of players, now got to wait till January. The ground is another matter, they need capital to find the build and every week there's an excuse, the EU vote was strange, now they've got the money but need to do another consultation. Wouldn't that have been done when they brought the club? UWE was already in place then? Unfortunately for Rover's they've got someone in who brought himself a toy and doesn't have the capital required to run it. Maybe they've got delay tactics so UWE pull out
To be fair to him, he denied his family being worth £1.4 billion in his 1st press conference. He almost laughed at the suggestion the value was anywhere near that.
That didn't stop the Rovers fans believing it though.

I'd be embarrassed if my club were founded in 1883 and in all that time 'unparalleled success' meant getting promoted to League 1.
