That's the thing, I do have a soh, some of you take this football rivalry so seriously it's unreal, they should really be of little interest to us and vice versa, however I do understand why they might want to goad us, but to actually put up their goading posts on here is just falling into the trap they set.
Laughing at someone or something that is less fortunate then yourself(s) does not denote having a sense of humour Monkeh,
Nobody is taking this rivalry seriously. We're laughing because we have enough reason to.

You'd take a point away to any team in this league. That's not to say we can't, or won't try to, win. LJ has said himself we won't draw too many games as he always sets out to win.
So, it'll be all or nothing I reckon. Hopefully all.

I think we get the point. It's preaching to the converted isn't it? I mean, you all think it, and you all know it to be true. Yet you all still have to keep saying it over and over and reaffirming it to yourselves every day
You really don't get it, still.
I'd suggest the fact that you and your mates are on here everyday suggest that.

Your not even remotely funny, if you want to be associated with them by their ST and chat on their forums.
And if you don't want, don't read and contribute to this thread.
Seriously, some people need it spelling out for them.

Your the clown, and the rest of you that trade petty insults two and 'fro, it is embarrassing and now very boring, grow the **** up and get some collective lives...why was this thread not binned Mods? I thought OTIB is for City fans not these pillocks.
Funny you mention embarrassing and boring....

ha ha ha! Come on - really? Do you really want to go there about attendances?
ha ha - bless these funny gas heads they do make I laugh. 4K crawl out from under a rock to visit Stamford bridge and it all starts over again - a good mate of mine is of a gas persuasion and even he admits that a large percentage of the rovers fans are totally deluded. Keep the thread alive - it's good to laugh.
They've been made to look silly over attendances countless times, yet they're the ones who keep bringing it back up. Absolute clowns.

That's not nice .. you'd be lost without us ..
Philip, my friend. I think the opposite would be true.
Your team on the other hand. Well, they're always looking up at us. We're the carrot if you like.

Ah @Philgas. You're like a pig in shit at Rovers, quite literally. Good for you.

To be more precise:
Beaten by Scunthorpe, who were on the verge of the playoffs last season.
Beaten by Bolton, who were two divisions above us in May.
Beat Oxford, who finished above us and were tipped to do well in L1.
Beat Cardiff. Your rivals, who do better than you.
Not brilliant, but not bad.
And as for calling 9,000 in League 1 "pathetic", the vast majority of clubs in that league would bite your hand off for an attendance like that.
I'm not trying to big us up, but just hoping that some more reasonable posters on here might see that what we have achieved in the past two years is actually pretty impressive. We're not going to storm League 1 as you did, but to be where we are now compared to May 2014 is something to be a little "prowed" of.
You've had one impressive season. Well done.
But don't come on here and expect us to be "prowed" for you.

Christ alive we won .. end of .. it wasn't a premiership team .. similar results you've won some of them not great games but getting the result is what counts .. night all
Congrats. So now you can go to Chelsea and "see what happens".
Disappointed with your attendance tonight, Philip?

I beg to differ .. Good team spirit will play a big part in our evolution as a team
In what way does refusing to sign a new contract contribute to team spirit?

I'm interested, what would Rovers fans think of their hero if he decided to sign for us?
Don't pretend you wouldn't care, or that it wouldn't hurt. It was his goals that earned you back-to-back promotions (albeit from non-league and after a relegation but that's beside the point...).

With all this talk of transfer fees and tens of millions spunked up the wall, anyone would think there was a bigger gap than 24 places between the clubs.
It may be 24 places but in reality the gap is a lot bigger than that. But you know that already.
Just think about it.

Good news on the car park front... they've sold out!
Tens of thousands of cars will now be locked out.
I'm actually surprised at the number of Rovers fans who would need to drive to their games

I really don't know but does this simply mean that the Rovers owner has found somebody to help fund the new stadium?

The sad reality of football today is that if we do begin to struggle in League One, fans can turn very quickly (and that applies to fans of ALL clubs), and I'm sure DC is aware of that. Unless he performs absolute miracles next season, It's hard to see his stock going anywhere but downwards from it's present high point.
That would depend on your fans expectations.
-
Could be a blessing for Rovers. Maybe Clarke has taking them as far as he can.
And they're in a much better position to attract someone fairly decent now. As long as that person, whoever it is, falls for their lies.

OMG the blue few / 15'ers are so deeeelooooded!! They really are the gift that keeps on giving! We don't even care about them anymore because we are an established championship club with loads more fans than they will ever have. Everyone likes us more than them and our manager is not only a tactical genius, he's much better at giving interviews. Our ground is going to hold 27,000 rugby fans next year and we didn't even have to steal it because our owner is bloody loaded. Why don't those sags follow his example and be turncoats, they know they want to because they're just bitter that their rivals are sooo much bigger and better. And the best bit is we don't even see THEM as our rivals!! Ha, the gift!
I was bantering with a gas head at school the other day and guess what!! He said that we might be playing derbies again in 2 years and that they could have a big ground too!! Totally deeeeloooded, what a gift! This proves that their entire fan base (which isn't even as big as ours) is totally obsessed with us. I told him we don't care about you one tiny bit, we never sing about you at the Gate and nobody even speaks of Bristol Rovers anymore! Ha!
Their shirt is shit and Irene is a slag. But I wouldn't even know what their shirt looks like of how Irene goes because they aren't even rivals! I was chatting to a Real Madrid fan the other day and he had heard of us but not them! When I told him they got relegated to the conference and that we never talk about them anymore he couldn't believe it. Have that you blue bastards!
Our song is much better than theirs and when the whole ground sings it, they can hear us up at Bemmee Down library. Oh when the red red Robbin shoots his Bob, Bob Bobbin it's time to move along. Shhh. Tick, tock, tick, tock, mind the gap gassers!
Not a direct quote admittedly but IMO a reasonable summary of the first 211 pages on this thread.
Wrap it up and stick a bow on it..
