  1. That hope being that her ex husband catches up with him???
  2. The one from Aldershot? (OTIB classics. If you know, you know)
  3. Not Jay today (although my MOM). What the hell was going on with the number of people losing their footing? About half the team slipped at one stage, including where Abell miscues the cross. Not just limited to us, Taylor also losing footing for them. There hasn’t been that much rain, surely?
  4. Tbf mate, as I understand it Klose was hooked as injured. Atkinson probably not up to fitness as yet so only good for the half. If all three fit though I’d agree with the above.
  5. It’s been very noticeable from the first game Bell came in at RB that Kalas is reticent to pass to him. If you watch the Boro game, there were multiple times TK had the ball and the easy pass to Bell was on but he turned and looked for Klose instead. My guess is that he is unsure of Bells onward distribution so doesn’t want to play to him to invite trouble. If you’ve got the time, dig the Boro game out and it’s glaring. With that in mind, I think Kalas is playing further off Bell as he expects him to be beaten but doesn’t want to overcommit and leave the man in the middle with too much space. Condensed version: I don’t think Kalas rates Bell there and it’s leading to knock on problems
  6. Preamble: I’m a Pearson fan, we’re better than we were and we have developed a lot of the younger players. Under current financial circumstances I’m still glass half full. However, today, he got it wrong. Matty James was an embarrassment - I can only assume not fully fit, but even with that, he didn’t even hit basic standards. The job he had as the back lying midfielder was twofold - first in screening/covering - which he didn’t do - and second in the picking up and distributing. He was slow on that, ponderous and meant by the time he had made a passing decision, the options had gone - it was a bad selection, fullstop, and the hooking indicates he wasn’t fit. So, if he’s not fit, why also play Williams, who is coming back to fitness? Again, I’m a Joe fan - but he was poor today. However, what do you expect with a non fit player beside him as opposed to Massengo. It was a shocking combined decision. Then, the actual subbing of James. Needed to go, but putting Wells on was insane. We ended up with four strikers, one of whom ended up at right back - and created nothing after we put the four on. We destroyed our shape like the worst days of Holden. I think Bell was thrown under a bus today by more senior players. But the upshot for me is the manager got it wrong.
  7. Was announced (I think, the PA isn’t clear) pre game that they shouldn’t be doing it as well. Club need to keep that stance clear and those who break it should face the appropriate penalties - as long as it’s advertised it won’t be accepted, then people can’t feign ignorance
  8. Exactly. Whether he’s not fully fit or just playing badly I don’t know but he’s not doing the job of getting it off Kalas and moving it quickly. He’s not quick enough to cover the gaps behind the WB when they go as Williams is and he’s just been totally pedestrian. At times, Williams had had to drop to recieve because James isn’t moving it. We’re effectively as a result playing with Scott in CM alone. Awful first half. Only DaSilva in credit for me on that 45.
  9. Just this. I’m a Somerset fan but went to Bristol to watch Glos-Hants just to see Warne play. Every delivery, even when it was hoisted for six, someone in the crowd would shout “GREAT BOWLING WARNIE!” Everybody was there to see him. Everyone knew how great he was. Everyone went home and thought “I’ve seen Warne”. Like seeing the Beatles, you know you’ve seen the ultimate in that field, and you’re just happy to have done so. Hits hard this one.
  10. Thing is here, can you imagine the Brummies in the sex shops? ”Alroite, I’d loike your biggest dildo bab” ”No problem babby, is it for some hard anoil” ”Nah babs, that’d be bostin but it’s to lob on the pitch at the blooows” ”You’re a louying bastard babs, but I’ll sell you it and when you use it you’ll be blartin” ”Alroite, I’ll have it. G’d bye t’Jane” Methinks it’s a way for the adult shops in small Heath to increase sales…
  11. Normal. See game vs Arsenal earlier in the season:
  12. 1995. Matt Jackson after we dominated the entire game, they went on to win the cup. Then in 1999 we lost 2-0 to them, Ibrahima JohnandYoko scoring twice late on
  13. I’d agree with the Brentford shout here. I think Watford and Norwich are nailed on, and it’s between Leeds and Brentford for the last place for me. In terms of “like” to go down, I’d like it to be Leeds, because they are just bloody annoying, but think the Bees are in as bad a tailspin
  14. Bring on a keeper for the penalty shoot out, doesn’t save any of 11 and misses his. Cant make that up
  15. Nothing to see here IMO. Ignore the “sport” angle and what you have is someone who left an organisation (Liverpool) where they’d been working for some time for a better opportunity. A role akin to their current job has now come up at the prior organisation (which is bigger than new employer) they can move back to a company they know, on more money than when they left, and hit the ground running. Happens all the time in the real world.
  16. The club have actually done a lyric video… I’m willing to bet they don’t do the same for “City boys are on a bender…”
  17. With all due respect, this is a touch naive. Should Russia play international football, and win, it will be spun as a victory for the might of the Russian nation. In effect, by letting them compete, it allows them to release propaganda off the back of it. It would be the same for any Russian based teams in things like the Europa League. I feel for the players, it isn’t their doing, but you have to not let Russia compete for the above reason.
  18. I go with ADIEU, mainly for the knocking out four vowels and a common consonant at first pass as opposed to hoping it’s right! I then do, if that’s not helped massively TORES as that gives the other vowel and three common consonants. Find if I’ve then got 9/26 letters knocked off in two passes solving in 3 or 4 becomes fairly straightforward (most of the time)
  19. I think that this is always one of the problems. The other is that you end up with one a game at times, and people therefore become less likely to hear they’re happening and even to partake. It’s difficult because all of these are done with best intentions but you end up with some people having less recognised applause, some with none at all, and everyone’s loss hurts. The club did, I think, a fantastic job with the Swansea game acting as the memorial match this year and I think that is a great way of paying tribute to the reds we’ve lost - I hope it’s going to become an annual event as it was hugely affecting.
  20. Haven’t listened yet but god help me, when I listened to Ian on Radio Bristol last night I pretty much agreed with every word. He was balanced, fair, and called the game pretty much spot on I can only assume someone was holding his family hostage.
