  1. Yes pleased for him, especially as they let him ago at the start of his career - must be all the sweeter. Hope he gets another league one winners medal too - unlikely that Derby will catch them.
  2. Preston are helping us tonight. I haven’t ruled out us finishing 10th yet.
  3. Perhaps it’s down to Manning This site (if correct) says Leeds have had more than us (quelle surprise) - 8 v our 6 - but they missed 2. Have Leicester really had 12?! Championship - Penalties received | Transfermarkt
  4. They said: ”Digital Season Tickets will be used again following their successful introduction this season. Current Season Ticket holders using a physical card will have the option to continue to do so next season and should keep hold of their 2023/24 card.”
  5. But I was commenting on your post that said the 5-0 win was “was almost as bad a performance as some of the others”. It was much better than most other performances under Manning and indeed better than most performances this season (even better than v Plymouth under Pearson I would argue given the chances we conceded in that game plus the team that Plymouth put out). Plus our own play forced errors - and indeed most goals scored involve some form of error from the opponent - so I don’t buy the argument that a goal that involves an error does not count.
  6. Yes I assumed they held the Anis sub back because they were checking injury status - it was around the Williams knock so perhaps Williams wasn’t originally going to come off (unless there was someone else they were monitoring)
  7. Spot on. Easily another 3 mins to add to the 5 that had already been added - due to the injuries and a sub in injury time - and the pen was conceded around 98.

    Sykes

I heard the interview pre-match and Manning was just correcting the interviewer who said that he had used King at CB before. So nothing in it.
  9. Yes I have hunch he is sticking with a back 3 with Sykes RWB.
  10. Yes I was looking at the table earlier and I concluded my preference would be for Stoke and Birmingham to go down. It could get interesting for Stoke as their next two matches are against other relegation candidates (Sheff Wed and Plymouth) so if they lose there they will really be in trouble. They then play Southampton before us.
  11. I can’t keep up - I thought the view on here was that people weren’t going to bother to turn up for the last few matches?! As usual though, it’s somewhere in the middle despite the OTIB extremes!
  12. That’s precisely why I thought the calls to sack Manning were premature (coupled with the fact that we had seen some good performances under him). Just three or four months doesn’t give time for any manager to adapt, learn and grow into a new club and role. That’s why I said on another thread that I feel 12 months is a better period in which to judge.
  13. Given our current squad, I’d probably be going for a forward. Still playing: Semenyo From the past: Cheesley But I’d also like Gerry Gow (please).
  14. Interesting that the rugby are moving family season tickets to the south stand, whereas City are looking to move kids from the south stand to the Lansdown stand. Rugby Q&A: “I am a Season Ticket holder in S18, S19 or S20 with an Under-12 or Under-19 Season Ticket. How am I affected? S18, S19 and S20 will now be the location for the Family Area at Ashton Gate. If you have a Season Ticket in that block and have an Under-19 or Under-12 Season Ticket holder in your group you can remain in the Family Area.

Due to a large number of Family Area Season Ticket holders moving to this area there are no seat reservations in this section. All supporters currently in blocks W7, W8, W9, S18, S19, S20, will all have an exclusive window to purchase a Season Ticket from midday on Thursday, April 11th four days ahead of Season Tickets going on sale. All affected supporters will be sent details via email on how to purchase their Season Ticket. I am an Adult Season Ticket holder in S18, S19 or S20 without an Under-12 or Under-19 Season Ticket. How am I affected? We are asking Season Ticket holders without an Under-12 or Under-19 group member within blocks S18, S19 and S20 of the South Stand to move to another block due to the relocation of the Family Area. All affected supporters will have an exclusive window to purchase a Season Ticket from midday on Thursday, April 11th four days ahead of Season Tickets going on sale. All affected supporters will be sent details via email on how to purchase their Season Ticket.

As part of the relocation of the Family Area we have introduced new entry level pricing in blocks E28 and E34 of the Dolman Stand. With prices starting from £290 for Adults. There is availability in other areas of the South Stand, for supporters who wish to stay in this stand, all at the same price of £290. “
  15. No issues for me (on the iPhone app while mowing the lawn!)
  16. Did he say that as I don’t remember him saying that?
  17. Odd as on Radio Bristol they named McCrorie on bench
  18. Ah I misread - thought you were criticising his use of the term/his language, rather than how we perform.
  19. I do think he is talking about the specific game-plan for the match in question though.
  20. Yes it would be nice to beat last season’s 59 points
  21. This is why I’m happy to give Manning time. He’s a young coach and bound to learn, gain experience and get better, just like a young player (e.g. Semenyo, who some also wrote off at the start of his City career). Plus we have seen some really good performances under him so there have been some good signs. It doesn’t make sense to me to bin him off after just a few months. And yes I know we had an experienced manager before him who shouldn’t have been sacked, but that’s in the past and we can’t change that.
