  1. My prediction: Home Leicester L Blackburn D Huddersfield D Rotherham L Away Plymouth D Sunderland L Norwich L Stoke D Msybe this seems a bit harsh with only 4 points from 8 games but results are strange at the end of the season. Teams that are doomed to relegation suddenly play relaxed football, hence City to lose at home to Rotherham on the last day of the season
  2. The one advantage of supporting dull City is that every 20-30 years there is a really good season which results in promotion. Whether or not it’s worth putting up with the stuff in between is open to debate
  3. Another, another, way of looking at it is how much is Conway worth now? The longer he plays in this system the worse his goal scoring percentage gets. I’m sure other clubs will realise his potential but if he doesn’t sign a new contract in the summer he may be sold for a bargain (for the buying club) fee
  4. “There’s only one Nigel Pearson……….” I hate posts like this because they give me hope. It's not the despair, I can stand the despair. It's the hope.
  5. Unfortunately I’ve got to agree as the top man, SL, won’t sack his son or Brian Tinnion. Without a big shake up at the top, with experienced professionals taking their place, nothing is really going to change.

    Emotion

Jack Charlton as manager of Ireland ensured emotion always played a part of their game management. The result was the team performance was always greater than the sum of its parts
  7. If you are of a religious leaning you should keep fun activities to a minimum on Good Friday. Therefore go to Ashton Gate as there’s no chance of any fun there. It’s a suitable penance to repent for your wrongdoing
  8. What’s worrying is some of his 7 wins have come in bursts. There’s no consistency, just a poor version of streaky Lee Johnson

One for the future? I’m not sure what this future might be, but I’m not optimistic
  10. Jason Knight might be regretting signing. Derby look like they’ll be promoted. If they are, who would you prefer to play for next season - Derby or City?
  11. It’s a league one set up in terms of players and manager but, what is worse is, we have a non-league set up above Manning.
  12. It has been the same for the last few years. Many people say they won’t renew but the number of season tickets sold remains approximately the same. Either existing holders give in and renew or there is a steady flow of new people buying tickets. It will be interesting to see if the events of this season, and people’s anger, really make a difference
  13. The logic of this is lost on me. If his contract is paid up it will cost the City the same amount of money that it would if he stayed. It would also involve an upfront cost which compared to phased payments is bad for cash flow (though in the overall scheme of things it’s a small percentage of the total costs). If he stays at least there is a possibility that he might get on the pitch before the end of the season
  14. Bearing in mind all the kerfuffle around the recent royal photoshopped photo, how do we know that this is real? To me, Zak Vyner looks like he’s wearing Nahki Wells beard and Nahki Wells looks like he’s wearing Vyner’s
  15. It is avoidable. In the past the fixture list was compiled without the aid of computers and City and Rovers never played at home on the same day. The same applied to other cities that had two teams. In the modern world clashes should be simple Without the clash of Rovers being at home it could have been early Saturday kick off, the same as the Cardiff match
  16. Not necessarily relegation next season. If it’s this bad by October then Manning will be gone. SL will react, unless influenced by Tinnion and will appoint a totally different manager / coach. The cycle will repeat itself with wild swings between managerial styles
  17. I’m glad I’ve got my needlepoint embroidery to keep me entertained. The football doesn’t
  18. I agree, but it’s probably frustration caused by what’s happened over the recent months
  19. Even long dead he’d be better than some of the City managers I’ve seen over the years
  20. Why is the match on Sunday? A strange choice as its Mothers Day and some supporters won’t be able to attend
