  1. Why, are you trying to get a City manager to rival Joey Barton? On two occasions Ferguson put someone who broke into his house in hospital. You might say attacking a burglar is justified, but he also has four convictions for assault. One of the convictions was for kicking and punching a supporter who was on crutches!
  2. People can be glass half full or half empty. If we win against Barnsley and draw away to Birmingham we’ll be in a comfortable mid table position. Barnsley’s form over the last six games has been even worse than City’s and Birmingham only slightly better (By comfortable, I mean from a points perspective, not the quality of the performances)
  3. I used to think the same, but now I’m not sure. Today, not all people who invest in football clubs are necessarily interested in football. Some people who are mega rich just want to go on an ego trip with a winning team. If you buy Bristol Sport you get Bristol Rugby, who can win the league and cup on a shoestring compared to football. Others who are interested in football, might be prepared to throw some money at the club to try to get to the Premier League for the TV money
  4. In morse code this spells: E I Obviously the next bit must be E I E I O
  5. The Leyton Orient Chief Exec said in this article - "We believe that adults should be given the chance to drink safely in their seat….” The problem is, as @Mike Stone said, people don’t sit in their seat and drink. They get up and walk to the bar, buy a drink and then come back, forcing everyone else in the row to get up and down twice to let them pass. Multiple this by the number of people who might decide to get a drink during the match and it’s a nightmare for those who actually want to watch the football
  6. It doesn’t matter that the statement is published by two newspapers. When general statements like this are issue to the press, the hope is they will be covered my as many media sources as possible. This isn’t a scoop for the Post or the Mail.
  7. As a partnership can involve more than two people, I suggest the best partnership City has had was the whole team, including Alan Dicks, that gained promotion to Division 1. The whole was greater than the sum of its parts.
  8. I’ve got to go with @maxjak with this. Watching it in real time replay Dasilva is very slow on the turn. He had a start on Spence and still never looked like getting to the ball first. To be a good full back you’ve got to have pace and power. Dasilva, although skilful, is a bit lacking in both
  9. It was said he’d get an £8m payout if he was sacked. That would make retirement comfortable
  10. Probably both shots on target contributed to the goal. First shot on target from Wells that was saved and the rebound to Scott which went in. Apart from that move, nothing else was on target
  11. He’s extremely unusual for a modern defender. He can actually tackle! It will never catch on

    HAHAHA

Explain it we cannot. Disprove it we cannot. We simply invite you to explore with us the amazing world of the unknown. To take that one step beyond
  13. Can’t you knock up a few charts to help us make a decision?
  14. It would be interesting to know what the attendances would be if the cheap offers were excluded. I know a few who have only been when they’ve got £10 tickets in the Dolman and are only going to the Barnsley match because of the mates rates.
  15. In NP’s interview in the the Sky Sports highlights, he said that some players who haven’t had a chance would have to take it, when it came. This was with a smile, wink, nod nod, so to me, it was a hint we would see a couple of changes on Tuesday. Unfortunately, with Williams and King injured, Martin looking clapped out, possibly HNM not fully fit and Atkinson not fit if he’s been ill and has not trained for a week he’s a bit stuffed. We could see something a bit unexpected and risky. Possibly Vyner in midfield and Palmer playing behind a lone striker.
  16. At least you watched a good match

    O’Dowda

What - CoD move to another club? Good idea I don’t think he’ll be earning a living with City for much longer with Nigel as manager. Good two seconds. What about the other 44 minutes and 58 seconds of the first half?
  18. The Mathew moving incredibly slowly causing both bridges to swing
  19. Nice to have an honest post match interview without any bullsh*t or jargon
  20. It’s interesting that the first heat map shows that he plays a lot on the right and in midfield, which is what most supporters would agree with. Yet, he is supposed to be a second forward with Martin and has managed to score 4 goals from hardly getting into the penalty area (if the heat map is to be believed). Logic would be that he should play more in the middle, closer to the penalty area, or have I missed something?
  21. From memory, which may be a bit dodgy, I think the “singers” were in the Atyeo when the South Stand was opened because the old Williams Stand was demolished and the replacement Lansdown hadn’t been built. This meant ex Williams season ticket holders were moved to the South Stand. When these people later moved to the Lansdown there was obviously more space in the South Stand. Groups of people were moved all over the place during redevelopment, probably without any thought to a long term plan. In reality, the issue isn’t about the location of “singers”. The issue is about the location of those who want to stand up. It would be a lot better if the “singing section” was called the “standing section”, which it is
  22. Im sure the club did think about it when the ground was rebuilt. The Atyeo has the worse concourse facilities, so it makes sense to put the away fans there. Also it’s self contained so segregation is easy With the current design, the concourse is a continuous U shape running under 3 stands. If the away fans were put into the corner of the Dolman, the current Grenville Smyth Park entrance would be for away fans only. Rather inconvenient if your a City fan coming from that way and want to get to the Dolman and a loss of a large part of that concourse for home fans. Also, probably one block in the Dolman would have been lost due to segregation
