Indeed. Sounds like Agard had a couple of decent chances. Since they scored sounds like they have been happier to sit back, and we have not got our shooting boots on. They opened us up a few times just before and after we scored - we seem not great at controlling a game when we are up. Although this is all from the commentary!

Kind of the opposite of last season, where I knew the bad run would come to an end at some time, and always hoping it was the next game. No reason why we cannot lose tonight, but no real reason why we should either. All things being equal, go for another 3-1.

Chesterfield looked very decent, and for long periods, for my money were in charge of midfield. However, I thought we stuck at it, and certainly had the better chances. A draw arguably would have been a fair result.

Was I the only one when Burns came on thought 'what?' As cover up front, ok, but for a midfielder, and then going on the left? Thought we then conceded midfield to them. Anyhow, three points!

I get what you are saying, but there were many games last year we lost looking really good, as in defence we were rank poor. On the ball they looked very good, but defending is part of the game to, and there they were weak.

3-2 ft. We just found a way to win. At 2-2 there was only one winner, and it was not us. Massive win.

Yes and no. We are a bit more direct, and working really hard to close them down. To some extent we are playing a really good 'away' game. far from secure however.

Smashing game. We are not really by any manner of means controlling the game, and far from won yet. Can see how they have scored lots, but our defence just about doung enough, and more than theirs. Long way to go yet!

End to end stuff, both sides looking like they can score a fair few. Their defence looks dodgy, but they are looking fluid as well.

In truth, anything other than a win today would have been disappointing, but still got to do it, so well done the lads. Will be interested to hear how Agard got on in his first home game. Flint making a great pitch for player of the season so far.

The away point at Rochdale also not looking to shabby today, looking at their score. Early days etc etc, but if I was the rest of the league, I really would not like the look of the top two right now. You do not want the fancied teams getting out of the traps fast.

Think we should be disappointed with any game we do not win at home. We are still work in progress. Sounds like we went long to often, and it is worrying that Cotts does not see JET as a kind of super sub able to make an impact late on, for whatever reason. Nonetheless, as disappointments go over the last few years, this is a very minor one. Clean sheet helps.

Would seem harsh, but might be he is just having a look at various mixes.

After last weeks success, looks like to me he is playing about with not playing JET plus two up front, and seeing what options work best with two out of those three. Right time to play about a bit. Barnett/El not in squad.

Interesting on the Walsall forum a few who went said no complaints about the penalty.
