  1. Yes and no. We are a bit more direct, and working really hard to close them down. To some extent we are playing a really good 'away' game. far from secure however.
  2. Smashing game. We are not really by any manner of means controlling the game, and far from won yet. Can see how they have scored lots, but our defence just about doung enough, and more than theirs. Long way to go yet!
  3. End to end stuff, both sides looking like they can score a fair few. Their defence looks dodgy, but they are looking fluid as well.
  4. In truth, anything other than a win today would have been disappointing, but still got to do it, so well done the lads. Will be interested to hear how Agard got on in his first home game. Flint making a great pitch for player of the season so far.
  5. The away point at Rochdale also not looking to shabby today, looking at their score. Early days etc etc, but if I was the rest of the league, I really would not like the look of the top two right now. You do not want the fancied teams getting out of the traps fast.
  6. Think we should be disappointed with any game we do not win at home. We are still work in progress. Sounds like we went long to often, and it is worrying that Cotts does not see JET as a kind of super sub able to make an impact late on, for whatever reason. Nonetheless, as disappointments go over the last few years, this is a very minor one. Clean sheet helps.
  7. Would seem harsh, but might be he is just having a look at various mixes.
  8. After last weeks success, looks like to me he is playing about with not playing JET plus two up front, and seeing what options work best with two out of those three. Right time to play about a bit. Barnett/El not in squad.
  9. Interesting on the Walsall forum a few who went said no complaints about the penalty.
  10. Sounds like the result was better than the performace, but looks like job pretty much done. Two pens by Sammy, six points off them - easy money when you keep clean sheets, although obviously their pen miss is a big bonus. Win on Friday and we may well be mathmatically safe.
  11. And El not even on the bench - another go to player since he has been brought in. Right decision, but even so surprised.
  12. Used to be, but more recently not played there since 2006 and not lost there for 17 years. Feels like a draw, but as we beat them first time round, 1-2.
  13. Must confess do not ge this one at all. Why was it being played on the Saturday anyway? Whatever that reason, what has now changed! All seems a huge fudge up.
  14. Interesting as to whether they should count the earlier results, which were of course against West Germany. Cannot ever remember playing them in truth, but do East Germany's results just get deleted from those records, or do the records only count results against a United Germany? Likewise, USSR, Yugoslavia, the old Check side, etc etc.
  15. Thinking about it, i want to say two minutes, as that is all that was left in the mtach to make good.
  16. Was reading their forum, and did see somebody post "We can't defend set pieces and face a side of hoofball merchants... Great!" In complete fairness I think he was responding to somebody saying their next match was Stevenage, rather than meaning us - I think!
  17. I had a text from a mate at the game at half time saying it was close, other than the score! Will let someone who was there respond, but the games I have seen recently we have resorted to belting it clear now and again, but we have actually tried to play football rather than what I would call long ball.
  18. 90:00 +5:44 Goal scored Goal! Goal! Northampton Town 2, AFC Wimbledon 2. Sammy Moore (AFC Wimbledon) right footed shot from the right side of the six yard box to the top right corner. Assisted by Alan Bennett. Sulks...
