  1. Back to a 0 goal difference. Whatever our issues, and not over them yet, there is a mid table team trying hard to get out.
  2. ....and breath. At least I bloody hope so. So much needed to get some home form. Hopefully, hopefully now.
  3. That settles the nerves, at least until they score again! All Pring that one.
  4. Difficult to gauge the chairman comments. Might also be a ‘go away’ price. Others will disagree, but gut feel £16m-£18m. As for those saying ‘£25m, go for it’, worth repeating the journo is saying they are not interesting in biting at that. Either way would rather it does not happen, but if it does, quickly is the next best option.
  5. Agreed, although also going to a back four meant we could start to at least play through midfield.
  6. Full time. Much better second half. Most likely should have ended up winning it. Not thrilled about a replay but it is what it is.
  7. We could be shot dead in their box and the ref would say ‘play on’.
  8. Andi close. We are just starting to create a few half chances. Williams and Sykes on for Kam and Tanner.
  9. I can only assume he has blown for a free kick for them, then booked one of their players for a tackle in the box after he has blown. It’s all a bit bizarre.
  10. Managed one shot, in about the second minute. They have managed one, from our mistake. They are prettier, but a poor match all told.
  11. Swansea much the easier on the eye, but managed the one shot we gave them. Mind you, we have only managed one ourselves. Hardly a classic, daft goal conceded and a decent pen shout turned down, been here before.
  12. One thing we have been pretty decent at in recent years is beating the teams at the bottom. Less so this year. Two points against Wigan and Blackpool in hindsight looks poor in matches we could/should have won. Also worth noting that the four teams directly above us, Hull, Stoke, Birmingham and QPR are all above us simply by virtue of beating us. Think our final outcome will be heavily dependent on how we do second time around against teams in the bottom half, and in tight games turning a few of those draws in to wins. Our away form is ok, unbeaten in four away now. More than anything we need to squeeze some home wins in, especially with Wigan, Hull, Blackpool and Rotherham still to play at AG. Stating the bloody obvious, but can not afford to many more ‘Stokes’.
  13. Five away wins, one home win. Don’t know the overall league season stats, but home advantage certainly not seemingly a big thing this year.
  14. Alex has not quite influenced the game offensively as he can last few matches, the odd misplaced pass that has put us in trouble a few times as well. Equally, I think he has been one of our best players out of possession, worked very hard to close down and made some important tackles or blocks. As an aside, seems to be getting better at managing the timing for aggression. Seemed to have a run of matches early door where he was picking up bookings it seemed more often than not.
  15. Agree up to maybe the last sentence. I can see it both ways, but with a pretty thin squad I could live with some of our key players being rested. Never like losing, but the league now has to be our only priority.
  16. Rotherham, Blackpool, Wigan, staying above those three does the job. I would also throw Hull in to the mix. Gut feel Cardiff and Huddersfield will be ok. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but we actually still have Hull, Wigan, Rotherham and Blackpool all to play at AG.
  17. Fair result overall. Thought Coventry edged second half and us the first. Getting there in singles at the moment. Its a balance between fresh legs and disrupting how they are doing, but wish NP had a little more confidence in the bench. Last ten we were hanging on a bit as some were a bit knackered. Andi like at Millwall our best chance to win it, but far from a push over last couple of matches.
  18. Bit like the second half v Millwall. Played better than a level half suggests. Equally, the bottom is so bloody close we do need to find some way to edge a real result or two out of matches when we are half decent. Don’t feel it’s far away, but getting to the stage it has to be.
