Is it just me but are Man City playing manningball? So frustrating, all the passing and no end product
As well as giving away chances when they get turned over. Lucky really to be only one down.

FT 0-0. Not overrun second half but still somewhat lucky at times. Clean sheet, but somewhat flattering to get that. Decent away point overall, in difficult conditions.

Our changes at half time seemed to lead to us being able to negate them more and exercise a little more control, even if we created very little. Their changes since then have sparked them in to life again and we are very lucky to be level.

Back to leading a charmed life.

More even this half, in the sense both teams doing nothing much.

He does deserve credit today, a lot.
Our players seem to enjoy playing against better teams and this is now a run of better performances against them. It’s the Millwall, Cardiff, Stoke at home kind of games he has to find a way. Hopefully he can. Todays result was actually not that out of the ordinary in his time here.
Personally, just going to enjoy the result.

Wonderful. The score of course, but really the performance. Would not have even been that mad if we had lost 1-2 and played like that. Never going to dominate them for 90, and Vardy most likely should have got them something, but we could have got a penalty and created other chances.
Can we do it against teams that are not at the top? Look at what worked today LM and keep it going.
Just what the club, and all of us needed!

Since when were pressers that important anyway? They're generally a waste of time
I am kind of there. Very rarely listened to them at all, other than for any headlines that came out of them about injuries and what have you. I did listen to a few of NPs as I found his style refreshing.
Ultimately if we are playing decent football and getting half decent results, I would not care less if these were dull as ditchwater every time. I think the issue for LM is the extent to which the side seems to be starting to be a reflection of his style. And when results are poor everything gets put under the spotlight of course..

Ffs Wales red
Thought harsh, but if you are going to get one with seconds to go is not the worst time. Wales looked out on their feet last ten and did well to hang on.

Was I seeing things was that a blatant handball by the defender just before the goal?!
Looked it to me, would have been a very good shout for a penalty on VAR, hand looked well away from body. Only seen it the once but it was my immediate reaction.

Well, I hate it when England lose, even in a friendly. Having said that a lot more hopeful signs to take away from tonight than Brazil. Same old problems however at the back.
Edit…deserved draw!

One of those matches. In fairness plenty of intent by England, and in lots of ways unlucky to be behind, as the ball will just not go in. Don’t deserve to be losing really. Equally at this level cannot give away a couple of daft goals. This midfield is exciting, lions defended by donkeys.

Mainoo is a talent and has to be on the plane. I’d start him if he’s going to play it safe.
Looked so sharp today, alongside Bellingham of couse who just oozes class and is a joy to watch.

Look fairly decent when we go forward, but twice just been done with defensive disaster classes.

I like Rowett, he's never let a club down and been harshly treated more than once
Could certainly do worse, not to mention the savings if he has a load of stuff already branded ‘Manager, BCFC’…

Speculation today Rowett will return to Birmingham on an interim basis in Mowbray's continued absence
Just been confirmed. Rowett as interim until the end of the season.

I read a bit about him before he joined but not this quote.
It would have reaffirmed my view of the time however that there was a danger he would over think what was happening on the pitch and be a bit too much of a tinkerman during matches.
It’s actually been the opposite. He talks about a myriad of decisions that need to be made over the 90 minutes, but seems to do…nothing during them. There is a plan, substitutes are pencilled pre match in and off they go. I simply not see him reacting to how the match is actually going, or changing, during the 90.
