  1. Thought we were a bit more solid in the second half. The result is everything of course, and who knows, but Birmingham cut us apart at times in that game far to easily, particularly in the first half, and if they had taken their chances would have won. Fammy looked easily pushed off the ball, but did contribute to our second. Reid, Fammy and Djuric looks one to many at the same time. Still got a sliver of a chance, so very happy with the win of course.
  2. Just had a look, did not realise Millwall had the run in from hell as well. Sheff Utd, Fulham, Boro, Villa. If we could somehow get our first away win since Jesus was in short trousers, might be an exciting finish yet?
  3. Well, plenty to see in that as to why we have struggled for a while, but equally they found a way to win against a team actually in pretty good form. Rolled the dice and got him a result tonight. Everyone else winning really so not much changes, but still, an important win in its way after two bad defeats.
  4. Got the be honest, the score against Brentford still flattered us hugely, as to be fair this half time score does. Birmingham are in much better form than us right now, and look like they have more goals in them.
  5. Felt like Norwich, just today we scored and they didn’t, if that makes any sense. Smith I thought oddly out of sorts as well. Thought we were a bit better in truth second half, but yea, not great. We need our mojo back, but sometimes a scrappy win can do that. Hoping anyway.
  6. Just our second double of the season? Were the better side second half, not great, but an important win. Keeps the score board ticking over.
  7. We are crap, and one point outside the top six as it stands. Funny old game. Ipswich will have to come out a bit now, so we will see!
  8. All the pace and excitement of a pre season friendly. We have been worked out that if you defend fairly decently, against us, we struggle to create pretty much anything, and then it is just waiting for your own chances. One goal and that table would be looking pretty good...but been saying that for a while recently. Just feels like we are going through the motions, and hoping something happens.
  9. Leeds played much better in the second half for sure, but from the half time scores two games in a row when you fancy the top five would have seen them both home for six points pretty comfortably Just seemed to lose our control in midfield at half time, and carried very little threat. The worry as it has been for a while is that we do not really for the top six have a strong bench. Not the worst result in the world, but not looking great either.
  10. As comfortable a first half as we have had, since, well, our last one. Hopefully LJ tries nothing to clever in the second half. They score a fluke, smash one in from 25 or whatever, and it is a different game. At the moment it really should be three points. Just hoping for a no dramas second half!
  11. Well, fingers crossed then. First home game for their manager, and we never do well there it seems. Here is hoping!
  12. Truely gutting performance today. Cruising, 3-0 with twenty to go against a poor side. I suppose we at least scored five.
  13. Just got to laugh at that really. Points pissed against the wall.
  14. Not been at it this half really. Just keep it tight and see the game out now really.
  15. As an aside, a win today matches last seasons total. All bonus from here!
  16. Early goal changed the game, they could no longer do a Burton, Bolton etc. Must be honest, until the second did not think we were controlling the game at all really, but Sunderland truely woeful at the back. Looking easy now, but we all know could have been very different. Going to be an important three points assuming no second half capitulation.
  17. Cannot question commitment. Minor thing, but I thought our No 1 was our MoM, even tho’ there were two of them! With some luck maybe, but keeping a clean sheet after Baker went off was huge.
  18. I suspect that is more the case, but I am only guessing really. Lots of big games in a row. The only result I was outright disappointed by in the run was Norwich really. Other than that every game seems to have been a big one!
  19. No reason for them to be knackered after a week off really. Maybe not quite 100% some players, maybe mid week at the back of their mind, who knows, but for whatever reason to many players not quite on their game. No league goals in 3 is a worry, but Fam suddenly gave us more options. Lucky for sure tonight. I did think considering we were away at a good side we managed posession pretty well, just without any real thrust. Against that had to use up two subs because of injuries so the luck was not all one way. Excellent point, average performance.
  20. It may have been the plan, but having to sub Baker and Fielding gave us many fewer options sub wise. Still surprised we did not use the third.
  21. Fantastic point really. Missed Baker a huge amount and hope it is not too serious. Mags looked like an accident waiting to happen, Brownhill, Pack, Bryan not really on their game. Having to make two subs for injuries also reduced our options. Given all that, and that this is a decent Derby on a good run, excellent result. Lucky in a lot of ways, but we also had some bad luck in it, so it is what it is. Joint MoM for me for Fielding/Steele.
  22. Last 3 times we have been on tele, there has been an injury time winner. Just saying...
