  1. Got to be honest, that sounds a bit random. Hopefully a stroke of genius?
  2. Was surprised given the forced changes we had to make that we made more than we had to. On a learning curve I suppose.
  3. Pretty much sounds like that. Missing both ONeil and Tomlin looking a bridge to far at the moment. Really not sounding good. Might need our good second half as per normal.
  4. If Tammy does not start, then we are really going to test the 'depth of the squad' with this one.
  5. Random, but if we are doing 'what ground most looks like', I always thought Charltons ground was up there. http://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/league-one/the-valley-charlton-athletic.html Capacity: 27,111 (all seated) Three sides joined up, an obvious main stand, an isolated away stand. Heck, there is even a passable impression of Mandala House. Third picture in is the best 'likeness' for me, pictured from their equivalent of our South Stand. One obvious difference is their 'South Stand' is bigger.
  6. Will see what the team is, but against a fully fit and available squad, we could be light Little, Matthews, Tomlin, O'Neill and Smith. It is a sign of how far we have travelled since this time last year that we go in to this still with some confidence, given most of what might end up being our first choice midfield is missing. They also have a couple of their best players returning, so current form for both teams may not be an entirely accurate reflection. Fancy us to nick it by the odd goal, but would have been happy with 4 points from the two home games before Leeds. Expectations are rising, but expecting another close game today.
  7. BBC will have to make up some new facts... The last City goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in any competition against Leeds was John Shaw in April 1979. Leeds have won seven of their last eight league games against Bristol City drawing one, all since they were promoted back to the Championship in 2010/11. The Robins have conceded at least twice in their last five league games against Leeds at Ashton Gate (12 in total).
  8. Did not sound great in truth. Their defence made one mistake, ours made none - small margins, but been on the other side of that this season. So happy!
  9. And just because it amuses me...Villa give away their 8 billionth late equaliser this season.
  10. We don't beat Leeds. We don't really win 1-0. Well well well. Game did not sound a classic, maybe on balance of play a draw would have been fair, but we take three points against a pretty in form Leeds. Clean sheet. If we become hard to score against and have midfielders chipping in, well, all football fans can dream right?
  11. Goal! Posted at59' Goal! Bristol City 1, Leeds United 0. Marlon Pack (Bristol City) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the high centre of the goal. Assisted by Lee Tomlin.
  12. Leeds subbing one of their booked players. This ref dishes the red cards, so that might make sense.
  13. Sounded like both sides were pretty comfortable for 35 mins, Leeds maybe shading it, but we started to get on top in last ten. Not sounding a classic. This ref has a rep for lots of cards so need to watch that as well. Hopefully our 'bad' half. Tomlin misses a game after booking?
  14. Home games are always worse - almost as if everyone had somewhere to go. Equally frankly, there has not been a great deal to report so far.
  15. Other than their club name, we will be playing in effect a different team today compared to Wednesday evening, a much tougher one at that. Think we can nick it, but would take the draw.
  16. The Ipswich manager owned up to mugging Derby mid week, where the balance of the match made ours against Rotherham looked balanced. Much better side than their early season form suggests. Having said that still fancy us to nick if 2-1. More than anything, if we drop points, would like to think they it will be too decent goals, rather than shockers. More than anything, it has been the way we have conceeded goals in the last two games that has hurt, even more than the results. More clangers at the back and we will be in oh so familiar waters.
