  1. Cannot believe people are knocking a point at Newcastle, even allowing for being 2-0 up. The problem is not today, it's all those other half brained defeats.
  2. As good a point as we could ever have hoped. Clearly hanging on in the end, but today I don't think anyone can say players did not give their best.
  3. Funny old game! Difficult to tell off the radio, but sounds like we have battled away, Newcastle have been poor, and we have taken advantage. Been given a goal the type of which we normally give away. On the basis it is the hope that kills you, still convinced we will lose so anything else is a bonus. Newcastle surely have to do better second half, and would be very surprised if some of ours did not tire. Shown we can battle however, and given the away fans something to cheer.
  4. Haha. Got to love football. Having said all that, not going to lie, if you offered me a point right now would still snap your hand off.
  5. In complete fairness, I can see Wilbs given the other injuries. Makes sense to go one up front in this game, and it just would not be Taylor.
  6. In terms of score, I suspect that it might come down to will Newcastle coast a bit at 2-0 up or want to murder us!
  7. Not going to argue with that, although we seem to have signed umpteen players but still look very weak at full back. Interesting that three of those back for are from our Lge 1 days. Thought Magners had played there? At least if the midfield denys them some space it will be a step forward. Never been convinced by Bryan in a back four, basically, all a bit of a worry. If we go down, it will not be today's result that will be the cause of it, but does show a manager very frustrated with the players he has been picking.
  8. Ah, we are on to plan S b) vi. If it is about energy I can only assume he has seen something in training about fitness levels. If half that team are knackered by half time and are not match fit, then LJ is going to get an even bigger slagging. Not going to lie, it was difficult enough with Tammy, Duric injured and Taylor still carrying a bit of a worry it was beyond tough this one. A line up that screams desperation.
  9. Would have been delighted with a point before kick off. Would have been gutted at half time. Would have been happy with ten to go. Going away to scratch my head and work it out for a bit.
  10. Sounded like just the perfect 45 mins. Still have this nagging 'but it's City' feeling, which I am sure will intensify if Derby score, but blimey! Let's hope we can make it just the perfect 90 minute performance.
  11. I suspect it will all depend how we play. Result is everything I suppose, but if we lose but have played pretty well, kept a shape, not given away stupid goals, but just get beaten by the better team on the day I hope we can all not go in to meltdown.
  12. Gut feel us I would have like Djuric on as one of the two, but LJ sees them in training, so will see how that goes. Midfield will have to be strong, and Little worries me, but nothing new there. If we were on form and playing really well this would be a tough old game, so fingers crossed for the best.
  13. Would just like us to look like a half decent football team. Suspect we will play so like a Div 2 team away at a much bigger club in the cup, and hope to sneak one somewhere. We are also really poor at doing that. Even Rotherham were running through our midfield first half. It is football, there is always hope, they had a hard mid week game, so going to say 1-1. Fear a tonking however.
  14. I've never quite figured out why the sexual urges of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing or why men think with their head and women with their heart. For example… One evening last week, my wife and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion started to heat up, but then she said "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me." I said "WHAT??!! What was that?!" So she said the words that every husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?" Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The very next day, I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, high-end department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went on to the jewellery department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a tsunami. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. But, I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She appeared to be almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear; let's go to the cashier." I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it." Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, "WHAT?" I then said "Honey, I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial means as a man, enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?" Apparently, no sex tonight either!
  15. Ought to add, we come in for some stick, but cannot knock the crowd at all. Few teams would have got that level of support after that run.
  16. Sounded in fairness overall we deserved that. A better performance. Long long way to go. Still giving away sloppy goals. Lack of accomplished FBs restricting us. But hell, after all those losses, a point against what was a top six side, after being behind twice, I will take. Think it takes the immediate pressure off LJ, until Saturday.
  17. Agree with the sentiment. However, every time we have done that recently, we play deeper and deeper...and lose.
  18. For all the negative feelings I have towards him, I actually forgive him this.
