  1. To be fair to @Jerseybean he was only fractionally out.
  2. With Christmas approaching, hopefully we'll soon see the players' best behaviours. Might even be a Claus (sic) in their contract. If we fail to start picking up a decent points tally pretty soon, Manning won't be getting a season of goodwill from the fans.
  3. Me too. But, spare a thought for poor, little abandoned Lansdown Jnr. What would he do? Where would he go?
  4. Taking name and shame to a new level. The "winners" (who as followers of Rovers are better known as "losers") should have asked to remain anonymous.
  5. Thankfully, at the moment, there seem to be enough teams worse than us to prevent us ending up there.
  6. Unfortunately, this assumes everything remains the same. But it won't. The players named above may return "all fit and firing" but that often isn't the case, and, for all we know, they may not even return. Furthermore (given our recent experience), if/when the injured players return, our currently fit players will, very possibly sustain injuries or even suffer loss of form. Also, other clubs will be seeking to strengthen their squads at the same time, and several will have more money to spend than us.
  7. Spot on. Surely no-one can complain about Manning getting us 5 points out of a possible fifteen?
  8. Dunno. What does the data say? There might be two players above him. He's probably turd.
  9. Manning is therefore Numero You Know.
  10. Very true. Fortune favours the brave. We missed a golden opportunity. If only . . .
  11. I once saw a Rovers fan . . . . Nah forget it ! It's so obvious I'm lying.
  12. Do the local hard-nuts sing " We are Milwaukee, We are Milwaukee, No-one likes us, We don't care " ?
  13. Just done a bank transfer. Check your account.
  14. By George ! Away to WHam ! If we beat them, we can take the Michael.
  15. So West Ham v City is definitely going to be televised. With us singing "Drink up Thy Cider" and the Hammers fans mistakenly singing "Come on you Ions" the atmosphere will be positively electric.
  16. Yeh, not surprised Jon Lansdown keeps shouting "FORWARD" as his neck is on the line. Just pass him some crayons next time.
  17. Google translate said "language unknown"
  18. I guess others would say the same about the inexplicable levels of optimism and positivity on this forum, given that Manning has only delivered four points out of a possible twelve. Time will tell whether the Lansdown's gamble was right and Manning can deliver. But the question is how much time? First, it was he'll deliver this season and now some people are suggesting two or more windows. Constantly moving the goalposts will get us nowhere. What are your milestones and timeline for determining whether Manning has delivered the objective? And more importantly, what, in your opinion, is that objective? Unlike Lansdown and Tinnion, be very specific if you can.
  19. "Beating boro? Pushing a relegated prem team close in their ground? Dominating another pp team and losing unluckily?" = 3 points out of a possible nine. Add the QPR game to that equation and its four points from a possible twelve. If Pearson was "bang average" what does that make Manning based on his points tally since taking over? I don't imagine the Lansdowns are giving each other high fives at the moment. I don't think this forum is embarrassing. I like reading points of view/arguments from all sides. Don't agree with some, fully support others, but all have the right to have their say and be heard.
  20. Agree, we have to give Manning a chance, and we are doing. But two things. 1. Our expectations of him have been set by the Lansdowns' supposed rationale for getting rid of Pearson and subsequent statements like having a "top six squad". 2. Unfortunately, although Manning is blameless, the removal of Pearson and Manning's subsequent appointment, felt like a coup. This was not a decision justifiable or driven by an unacceptable standing in the table and/or major fans' discontent.
