  1. Red top with a white font required ?
  2. At 2.30pm... Anyone fancy Rovers ??
  3. Always rated him and so did Tinnion... Tins was watching him years ago when I covered a game at Gloucester (on loan) and we chatted about his potential. Good luck to Vince
  4. Yep, the Kalas situation needs to be sorted asap....

    U21's

    Yeh, he's offski..
  6. It's been amended online, so that's the end of that drama?. As for the actual typo mistake, I would expect it's an over worked journalist trying to churn out tons of content with silly deadlines set...?
  7. It's now been amended.... Bristol Live churn out so much content on a daily basis, usually 4 Bristol City articles per day, so the odd typo is bound to happen as I doubt every article is proof-read like it was back in the day....
  8. Saddlers clearly not happy. Some claiming he is the worst loanee they have ever had. I worry for his future, if he hasn't impressed in League 2. Still only 21 but can't see him staying at the gate....
  9. Indeed, but what's next for the lad?
  10. Walsall fans are calling for Joe to leave the club, not for this incident but they are very critical of his overall ability since he arrived.
  11. I didn't see the game unfortunately as I was reporting on the other Sheffield club beating the gas this evening. Flinty gave them 'some back from the flack' he was getting on the final whistle ? Regarding NP post match.... No 'under the bus individual comments' but Nige clearly not happy with the 'commitment and application' from some of the bench players ? i expect that is directed at Alex Scott maybe????? He is still a Bristol City player at this time and whilst the lad is clearly off in the summer, is NP pointing out (imo), not to even consider being a big time Charlie just yet? Alex could be warming the bench at Liverpool (eg) next season so he won't be able to just come off that bench (or ours) and just turn up and play on ability only, 100% effort is required ? Nige is a man manager and only puts out messages/comments to the media to 1) help the team, 2) help the player, 3) get the right response. If it is Alex being disappointing in his commitment and that was bothering Nige this evening, this will be a good learning curve for Alex. He is only 19 and has to keep his feet on the grass? Good and clear messages from NP imo...
  12. You would think that the board are aware of the fans support for Nigel even though we have had another 'average season'. I would extend his deal. Afterall, Pearson himself, needs a security indication from Lansdown and Co, that they trust him to continue the project.... Extend his deal by 1 year now....
  13. I would extend Nigel's contract tomorrow by a year, (so 5/2025) with a further year on the table if we reach play offs in 2024 or 2025.....
  14. Hate to say it, but it's the kids who are singing it.... ?
  15. I think Pearson will want to stay and if he was offered a 2 year extension, he would take it.... And then probably retire if premier league status wasn't achieved, during his then 5 year reign (assuming he wasn't sacked at any point). If he made the premier league dream happen, he would then be offered another contract and would then, inevitably, get sacked at some point during our premier league status.... Oh we can only dream can't we?
  16. Interesting view on replacing Pearson. I think he would be the best candidate in view of his previous promotion credentials, especially if he's built the squad for that push. Respect your thoughts though.
  17. Not completely writing off 23/24. I would love the dream to happen next season but I do think we will still be short and the clubs coming down will have more quality than the 3 that go up this sesson. I have good vibes about progressing in 23/24 so predict an 8th to 10th season. The dream the following year 'could' be more achievable ?
  18. Throughout this season, I have maintained my prediction of us finishing between 12th and 14th. Friends and Family in our 'Robins Mad WhatsApp Group' were panicking especially around November and December with some questioning whether Nige should be 'terminated' and a few of the lads had nicknamed him 1 Point Pearson. I continued to support Nige. We now sit in 13th position and are safe from relegation. Nige is at 1.3 points per game as it stands. Boro Monday...Interestingly, they have only lost 1 less game than us and sit pretty in 4th place.... And Blackburn in 6th have lost 2 more games than us. Even ex premiership Norwich in 7th place have lost the same amount of games as us, so had we turned 4 of our draws into wins, we would be in and around the play offs... I predict 8th to 10th position next season and 24/25 could be our promotion year if Pearson is given the time to complete the rebuild? Thoughts? Am I deluded? ?

  20. According to Wiki.... Lord Alan Sugar = 1.21 Billion Steve Lansdown = 1.72 Billion Steve will get us to the promised land one day ?
  21. To add, once the basketball arena, hotel and other bars are developed, the Ashton Gate site will go to another level and be mightily impressive....
  22. FWIW, my own opinion is whilst Ashton Vale looked amazing at the time, the original plan was 30k capacity, so that's only 3k more than the revamped Ashton Gate. As someone has mentioned, 10 years on and that video doesn't wow me like it did before and it doesn't look 'that modern or overly impressive' We now have what most of us wanted.... 'not a soulless bowl stadium' and if there is scope to sort out the atyeo, it's the perfect stadium in our 'home location'. The facilities in our concourse areas is 2nd to none and matchdays is a pleasurable experience and even outside the stadium, we have alternative food outlets and entertainment. I'm massively impressed with the 'new gate' If we can build on top of the south stand, (if required), that's a bonus. I can't see the Dolman being ripped apart for 30 years or so and it ticks the boxes for what we currently need. Just enjoy Alex Scott for the last 4 home games of the season and we can proudly say.... 'that England International started his career at the home of Bristol football' ?
  23. Just read this, it says 'temporary stands' to get to 42k? for the failed World Cup Bid? http://stadiumdb.com/designs/eng/bristol_city_stadium
