  1. We did take some influence from the ashton vale design when redeveloping THE GATE! Plans were 30,000 capacity to upgrade to 40,000 had we won the world cup bid? .... Remember watching it and loving the massive attack music in the promo video? I'm Gate Proud though?
  2. Unfortunately, Ian doesn't understand that sometimes we just simply lose to better opposition. Luton have the 2nd best 'loss record' in the league this season. I expected zero points this evening.
  3. Watching the Luton stream..... The colour of our socks doesn't even match our shirts.... Embarrassing ?
  4. The colour of our socks doesn't match our shirts.... Embarrassing ?
  5. If you listen carefully, you will hear that, Bristol Live Reporter, Richard Forrester asked about Omar Taylor-Clarke... Not Alex Scott....
  6. To be fair, Bristol Live Reporter, Richard Forrester asked about Omar Taylor-Clarke... Not Alex Scott....
  7. The flying Robin should be ditched on absolutely everything we produce and sell. Having it on this 3rd kit is not an indication it would ever replace our core logo, but it's our design team and management trying a little too hard to produce something a little bit different. It doesn't work and hopefully they will now realise this. Before they start production to sell this kit to fans, they should listen to the fans and immediately remove the flying Robin and replace it with our core logo. Simples and keeps the majority fan base happier.... Will they listen and act?
  8. Reverse the badges and the shirt is passable albeit uninspiring. What a school boy error putting a 'flying pigeon' on the front ?
  9. The bloke needs to go. Not up for the job and doesn't embrace professionalism and the responsibility as a public speaker for BCFC or the Bristol Sport brand. Carry on being an old school radio DJ Ian, in various Somerset wine bars etc and lets hope we can employ someone in the role who can deliver the required standard, which is now expected at the gate.... The only joker (who is massively respected at the club is Scott Murray), but Downsy fails miserably in terms of the values now adopted by our hierarchy.
  10. Downsy had an horrendous night at the office.... Maybe he should consider a job back at a poor commercial radio station like Star 107. 2 fm? ?

    Pep

"How much for that lad Alex?" "Not for sale Pep" "We could pay 25 mil and loan him back?"
  12. Pathetic really.... Zak has been class all season.
  13. Cheers Dave... I like listening to Ian, but I don't think I would be as polite as Mark (fellow green un columnist back in the day), so maybe my texting input is the most sensible and a much better approach? Keep up the good work and try and cut out the rudeness?
  14. Like ALL podcasters, Ian makes some very good points (and bad ones) and is clearly 'city mad' like all of us. I enjoy the pod but haven't fully listened to this particular episode. Unfortunately, what irritates some listeners is a lack of respect for others. No podcaster should be rude to their fellows and in the longer term, FBC will suffer and see a reduction in listeners. Up the City
  15. O'Neills...? I know nothing about them but my 12 year old son come home from school said 'how can we go so low using a rugby shirt company, it's dry and the shirt is horrible' ?
  16. Wasn't a fan of the shirt in 1989, so this change concerns me with regards to future designs... The club are to blame for the hummel stock levels because they didn't order enough in the first place....
  17. 11 games unbeaten.... Chin up and get on board ?
  18. I bet he felt sh*t on the grass when he had to go off... ?
  19. It will be a massive shock if we get all these rumoured deals over the line today. I was expecting it all to happen in the summer, not now. The semenyo money has clearly opened up some doors. With Scott probably going in the summer for 20 million + (or maybe a last minute deal today), the club are in a much better place financially. Bents, Palmer and maybe Dasilva going today gets rid of the top earners. Kalas will prob go in summer unless he agrees to a much lower salary like Nahki has already done With regards to Nige. Patience was always required in view of our financial situation. Most players that have played for him comment on his brilliant man management skills and portray him as a bit of father like figure. What you see in front of the camera in his interviews is not the same bloke the players see. Yes, he will fall out with some players who do not work to his plan. Good. Bust ups, ill feeling happens at every club.... Nige is getting people on his bus and if you dont like it, he will put you under it. Good...
  20. I'm at the HPC today reporting on 21's....will keep an eye out ?
  21. Maybe Nigel Pearsons Red and White Army is easier?
