  1. Was stunned when reading this thread yesterday that OTIB’s resident nutcase had missed the opportunity to make yet another show of himself, glad he’s made up for it today. All is right with the world again.
  2. Try actual sentences if you want people to make sense of your horrendous opinions.
  3. Both of these also took over terrible teams in dire situations, while they both proved incapable of improving matters (although I do think O’Driscoll did good work behind the scenes but that’s a different conversation), nobody could argue they inherited a decent team and made them significantly worse. Manning took an over perfectly decent mid table team with a lot going for it, not world beaters, but organised, spirited and athletic. The speed in which he has turned that team into one that plays the worst football since Tony Pulis and takes 12 points from 14 games is staggering really. He also seems to have deprogrammed the players into never being able to do anything at pace, never showing any confidence, ambition or imagination and frankly looking like the broken shells of professional footballers. You can almost see them all constantly second guessing themselves.
  4. Thick as ******* mince.
  5. Yeah I disagreed with him here as well. He seemed to suggest that because he hadn’t been critical of individual players or blamed individual mistakes that he hadn’t therefore ‘thrown them under the bus’. Now the small snippets of Liam Manning that I force myself to watch post game he is almost always distancing himself from the players, talking about how well they’d been set up and how well they’ve been coached. It’s clear this is piling blame on the players while letting everyone know that’s he’s doing a great job. But to be honest, with the exception of what Pearson was trying to build here, that’s the culture at this club as far as I can see. Everyone looking to go under the radar and shift blame elsewhere. No leadership and certainly no togetherness. Right down to what has been abundantly clear since the Lee Johnson fiasco, that the ownership of this club see the fans at best as an irritation, at worst I actually think their view on us is much more hostile than that.
  6. Yeah I’ve read it, I thought describing watching City at the moment as ‘a strange spectacle’ was excellent. Really hit the nail on the head.
  7. Didn’t necessarily agree with everything he said, and he’s certainly more charitable towards Manning than I am, but I thought Piercey was an excellent addition, hope they use him more often. His level of knowledge and insight is so much higher than anybody that has previously covered us for the post.
  8. We have a placebo. He’s read a coaching manual and stands in the technical area.
  9. Absolutely staggering this needs to explained (again). ’cult of Nige’ etc absolute horseshit from people who have no actual defence of the current manager.
  10. As it stands I’ll renew on the deadline, but frankly every single game of Liam Manning’s passion killing, soul destroying, mind numbing anti-football garbage I have to suffer between now and then could tip me into not bothering.
  11. Should have happened at any point in the last fortnight, as it hasn’t, today would be fine.
  12. He’ll be falling over himself to leave Coventry for Bristol City. Definitely.
  13. Far too much emotion on display at Old Trafford this afternoon.
  14. I can’t believe Pearson not bringing in expensive Premier League loans is still being wilfully misunderstood as if it was just Nige being stubbornly against them. He explained numerous times why he felt they didn’t benefit the club at that stage while we were operating under austerity measures. Richard Gould (backed up by Brian Tinnion!) at the Hen and Chicken Fans Forum explained why it was club policy that we wouldn’t be pursuing them at that time. I accept it wasn’t the point, but mentioning Tammy Abraham made me laugh. If you think he’d score any goals in this anti football team Liam Manning coaches you’d be mistaken.
  15. You have to say it really takes brains to watch two man of Richard Gould and Nigel Pearson’s intelligence and experience navigate and clear up the absolute omnishambles they inherited, and your takeaway from that is that we don’t need a CEO and Liam Manning can be our manager. What a weird club.
  16. If my view was just on the results then maybe that would be fair, but it isn’t, the football is horrific. I can take losing, I’ve seen City do it plenty of times, it’s fine. I can’t take being bored rigid.
  17. Both obviously, but I went for Manning. This club will obviously never achieve anything while it’s been ran by Jon Lansdown and Brian Tinnion, but in the short term I can’t stomach any more of this football offered by this manager. For 90 minutes on a Saturday I should be able to forget about the endless mistakes this club makes and just watch the football. Under Liam Manning watching the football is torture.
  18. Apologies, my mistake 12 points from 14. 15 points from 15 is still a point a game, over a season that’s relegation. Relegation form from a third of the season with a mid table squad.
  19. Yeah I remember him saying, kind of out of nowhere, ‘it’s a strange club’. Nige, as ever, spot on.
  20. If we all know our squad is a mid table side why is this manager only capable of winning 12 points from 15 games? That isn’t mid table is it? That’s relegation, every season, without fail.
  21. There’s a bloke we’re still paying that could come back and offer any advice that Andy King needs as well.
  22. Letting him leave and not having either James or Naismith available has left our team severely lacking leadership, which it very much needs as they’re not getting any help from the touchline. Cannot believe anyone over the age of about 8 can find any problem with his tweet. Good luck to him, absolute top pro.
