At the risk of this turning into yet another Pearson/Manning debate, there are two things that can never be let go I’m afraid. Any suggestion that Pearson inherited a ‘better group of players’ than Manning is absolutely ******* mental. One of the worst shouts I’ve ever heard on any topic. Genuinely staggering. Liam Manning does not deserve the same time afforded to Pearson either. Pearson was given that time because he inherited an absolute onnishambles and had the track record and experience required to navigate the absolute cluster**** of a situation he found. Liam Manning was supposedly brought in to improve us this season, he hasn't achieved that.

Could rename it as well while you’re there. Billy Wedlock or Terry Cooper, not bothered which, the other one can go on the South Stand.

Could be wrong, but think the last one is Paterson against Hull behind closed doors, think he scored one against Derby a couple of seasons before as well. I don’t know what the average would be for average championship teams, so don’t know if we’re noticeably poor at them or not. For example, when did we last concede from one? And how many would we usually concede in any season? I could be wrong, but my belief based on next to nothing is that like scoring from corners it’s something that most fans of most teams are always bemoaning how bad they are unless they are outstandingly good.

To be fair to you, if you ignore the 13 shots on target we had in that game you'd be spot on.

The thing I find amusing, is it’s not particular to Nige, the bloke has endlessly slagged off every manager we’ve had the entire time he’s been some sort of Radio Bristol celebrity. I remember losing the plot hearing him suggest Cotterill should be sacked about five minutes into the season after promotion. But now, it’s just excuses for every underperformance and utterly nonsensical claims that Manning should be compared to Pearson at the same stage of his time here. Yeah, great analysis that, just ignore literally all context. This absolute 180 degree turn happening at the same point that he is clearly receiving information from the club. All quite amusing how see through it is to be honest. If this weird personality transplant continues, he’s going to stop (usually incorrectly) stating the heights of random professional footballers.

While the criticism about City not being able to break teams down and struggling against teams that sit in is entirely valid it doesn’t actually explain what happened today does it. We were beaten fair and square by the much better team, and they should have put a few more past us second half.

Surely Joe Root is far too good a player to be getting out the way he has recently. There is still surely a case to occasionally just occupy the crease. Ashwin is out the game, Jadeja clearly isn’t fully fit, surely the wise move is attempt to just see Bumrah off, not get out doing that.

It makes no sense to me, the other week on top of the forum were threads about KFC, Klopp leaving Liverpool and some marketing campaign at Chelsea. But as an example if anybody posted a thread about Steve Cotterill or Alex Scott it would be hidden away in a sub forum. Don’t understand it all.
