If they played in UEFA competitions they’d have to adhere to FFP regulations. That includes sponsorship deals rated at market rate. So good luck squaring off Ronaldo’s £173m a year wages on crowds of 20k.

Sorry, but what you failed to mention,  is that if you are a season ticket holder and you do not turn up for a home match, you and your entire extended family are summarily executed.

We've got a likeable and professional squad, which is great to see. I think they all want to do well for themselves and the club. We've done very well to move certain players on over the last couple of years.

Annoyingly, we're crying out for a couple of players like Alex Scott and Semenyo.

I think we'll finish around mid-table. We're light in certain positions. A physical striker or one with a bit of aerial presence would be good.

Can    only dream?  But with Antoine and Alex in that side, we would be top 6?  I would love to have seen Semenyo and Conway as a reqular front two?  Please allow me to daydream?  Ha!

    Ok;

    Gilmartin, Ipswich goalkeeper coach.

    Hunt, over the river.

    Rowe, back at Doncaster.

    Mariappa, Salford City

    Adelakun  Lincoln

    Lansbury, Retired

    Walsh Swansea

    Watkins Kilmarnock

    Paterson Swansea

    Diedhiou Granada

Just about make a case that Lansbury as a squad player did ok at Luton before retiring & Paterson has played regularly at the same level as us, that’s about all though & God knows how much this lot cost us in wages & transfer fees.

Thanks.............that;s really interesting.............Diedhiou at Grenada?  What happened to his Turkish Adventure?

We at Bristol City are fed up of players getting BIG wages that are just not on board and giving 100% for the badge , I don’t like naming players but you must know and you fellow professionals must know who you are , if your spent then hang up your boots and stop robbing the club , if your not good enough and you’ll know then work harder and compete more because us the fans can see it -100 % is all we ask and for the wages you get that’s what we deserve, so PLAYERS buy into this and drive us forward as we will support you

Great Pep Talk.........ever thought of going into motivational speaking?...............  😜

The ground regulations are available for you to view before you purchase your ticket.

The regulations make it clear that searches can happen. When you enter the ground you are effectively giving permission to be searched.

If you've not got anything to hide in your wallet then what's the issue? Whilst it may be slightly annoying, it is possible for someone to conceal either drugs or a weapon in a wallet. Hence why these regulations are in place.

I’m incredibly down about this appointment. I’ll be honest, it’s terrible! Nigel wins that game today, end of. I’m not getting into a debate on it, I’ve seen better football in non league. Nothing against Manning but I’m getting Holden vibes.

Doh!      But that WAS NP's team, full of NP's plauer's ?    I was a big fan of NP and did not want him to go.....but, there is No  way that performance can be laid at Manning's door?  He has only been here for 5 minutes, with no time to establish his own tactics and ethos and stamp his ideas on the team.  If come the New Year and beyond there is no improvement, I will be one of the first to criticise, but give the guy a break?

Miles apart. I think Manning is closer to Pearson in more ways. When he talks about behaviours as working hard, running, winning hun duels, wanting to learn. It’s pretty similar to Nige.

Yep LM seems more like a younger version of our never to be forgotten NP? ........   Rather than any kind of similarity to Little Lee, I would like to think that our new coach would get on well with NP, as  their football philosophies  appear to be of a similar nature?    I am aware that it could never happen, but with NP as manager and LM as coach we would have had the Dream Team!  Ha!

Unless he had a clause inserted in his contract, like other managers do.

It's been very well publicised that he had a buy out clause inserted in his   Oxford contract.     He appears to be  an individual who knows he has the knowledge, ambition and ability 'to move on up, while using Oxford as a stepping stone to a better job.  That's the way football works, and all clubs outside the Prem, and even in it,  are aware of  it?

I bumped into him as he was leaving the car park earlier. Had a bit of a chat and seems a nice chap, very articulate, and genuinely excited about the job. Didn't ask about back room staff. He asked if I could hold back on posting for a couple of hours, which I was happy to do. Oh, and was happy for me to take his pic (for proof, and all).
