    1. If you're right, and I honestly hope you are, he'll probably suffer the same fate as poor Pearson. I will back him because I want City to do well.  Because of what Lansdown and Tinnion have done and said, there is no honeymoon period. Many fans will rightfully expect Manning to start delivering good results immediately.

    2. Too many sycophants (aka sycofans) in attendance. Far too cosy (and somewhat preditable). Were they all incapable of asking Lansdown or Tinnion a hard-hitting question (politely)? I found it boring and embarrassing to watch. I am concerned that outsiders watching this, will think this small cohort is a true refelection of our wider fan base.

The general consensus within the world of Championship football seems to indicate and portray Bristol City FC. as a   Comfortable Cosy club........and that was exactly what yesterday's forum illustrated?   A  comfortable  cosy environment?  I just hope that LM shakes it up a bit?......Here's wishing?

Thought he came across as the only one who was coherent and easy to understand. I quite warmed to him.

I am in no way a happy clapper, and i was angry and frustrated at the way NP was dismissed, and believe it was dealt with extremely poorly, and showed a distinct lack of respect for what NP achieved, and the foundations he has laid.

Having said that, I am very optimistic about LM's appointment.  For me he is exactly what is needed right now at City.  As he states, he lives and breaths football, and is an obsessive perfectionist.  He comes over as an articulate, intelligent and determined individual who seems highly motivated.  He has seems to have learnt a great deal at such a comparitively young age, and has been coaching for nearly 20 years!

The combination of his  ambitious and humble attitude, and the obvious way that he seems to communicate his ideas across to our young team, gives me a lot of hope for our future.  I am really looking forward to the rest of the season......and given sufficient opportunity, for the first time in ages,  i can realistically see us in the next year or two achieving promotion.....if only?

  3. Alright it wasn' t BBC Question time?   But maybe if a few of the keyboard warriors who spent their time having a go at every question,  had attended,  maybe a   more in depth and salient interrogation may have taken place?   Thought Liam came out of this very well considering some of the questions he was asked?    PS.  Maybe OTIB isn't quite the sounding board and reflection of opinion that some people want to believe?

Getting back on topic. Is there any news on Nige?

What about the mushrooms and Robbored's life story?  P.S. ...   It's obvious NP won' t be taking any jobs until  his back and health concerns are resolved

Watching Notts County annihilate Bradford City with an enterprising first half display perhaps we went for the wrong lower league manager.

Bradford look awful, but despite that been very impressed with Countys style of play.

You might just as well have watched Notts County v Mansfield on October 14th............when you could have watched the home match where  Mansfield annihilated Notts County 4-1?   One swallow doesn't make a summer or a BJ?   One game in isolation tells you nothing, and is a pointless exercise IMHO?  The comment that Bradford City looked awful.....surely tells you everything?

It's like that wrapped present under the Xmas tree - it's the shape of a BMX, you can see the wheels and the handlebars under the paper, you stay up all night thinking about the tricks you're going to do on it, and then you unwrap it Christmas morning and, inexplicably, it's socks.

Wowser  I now know what i want for Xmas! ......Two Wheel Drive Sock's!

  7. As he is inheriting a completely different set of circumstances, comparisons between him and NP at this time are pointless and misleading?  Considering this a local radio station that would love LM to continue to appear, then the beige line of questioning is to be expected.  i personally thought that given the nature of the questions he was asked, he replied very well, but he is obviously gonna be diplomatic and cautious at this time?

People seem to be looking at trying to find chinks in his armour that they can then use to criticise?, but he needs as much support as we can possibly give him, and time to bring about change. He mentioned Mckenna at Ipswich, and how it took him some time to introduce his ideas and tactics, which are now bearing fruit.  My opinion of LM won''t be properly formed until around next March or so......when he has had time to make us see what he is trying to achieve, and IF it works?

He don't half look like John Tracy😁   John_Tracy.jpg.6d2a3a524fb47839426ec4f2f7c2c1f1.jpg                                                    😁(younger readers ask yr dad... or granddad)

Of all the comparisons..........Niles etc?   This by far the best and closest.   Thunderbirds are Go!

  9. Just got back from the pub where i watched the game............so i have not had an opportunity to trawl through the comments...............but the general opinion within the crowd of people with whom i watched the match was that the referee ruined the game with his myopic decisions and constant pettiness?  England lacked ideas and motivation, but were by far the better of the 2 sides.  A bit of a nothing game with nothing riding on it?  Forgettable! ......and    In fact i have already forgotten about it?

Absolutely delighted that TC has opted to stay with our first team squad, rather than play for Scotland.  Very smart and farsighted move by Tommy, that displays his loyalty and shows the new boss that he is a team player and not just after personal glory?   Hopefully the time he spends at the HPC  under the new coaches will prove beneficial for his game..............I believe that TC, in the future, can prove to be an outstanding striker for us..........just really hope that our new manager/coach goes down the two upfront route?

I wasn't 100% sure he was called up until I saw the Scottish FA article I posted above.

    Bit that stands out;

"The squad is boosted by the return of captain Josh Doig who missed the last camp through injury, and by the return of striker Tommy Conway. The Bristol City forward, who has also captained the Under-21s in the past, sat out the last two camps through injury."

(I don't think that is Tommy in the clip of training)

Rock On! Tommy!.............One for older viewers?   Ha!    STOP PRESS*** Tommy's withdrawn from squad, which i am actually pleased about.
