Well each to their own, I see that as building on but I agree a few more players for quality and depth in certain positions wouldn't go amiss.

My fear when talking overhaul was- come in totally rip it up, change half the squad etc.

No..............perhaps i should have referred to it as a partial refit...Ha!   I think there are 3 to 4 players who will not survive the transition.......starting with our midfield?

Surely we were following an ideal plan- to build on the solid base rather than rebuilding in place of the solid base.

The financials had been fixed, the Scott and Semenyo sales had provided some funds after P&S considerations. Vyner, Pring and Bell signed up to new deals, hopefully Conway soon.

Some more money to NP for quality and quantity felt the logical next step.

If Manning wants to overhaul that'll likely set us back IMO.

I didn't want NP to go..........but he has.   So Are u then suggesting that our new manager retains exactly the same players that we have now?..........and somehow turns them into a top six side?  Personally i believe we are four players short of a reasonable team, if u don't regard that as an overhaul, then OK?

Not so much aimed at Manning but the hierarchy.

The hierarchy have made a big call here and a rebuild is not desirable or needed really.

We have had 2 long years of slog. We were rebuilding steadily, we looked cohesive-now it feels like it could be for nothing.

We do not want or need a rebuild, a rebuild we do not need or want.

We do NOT need a rebuild?     No........ let's just saunter on as a average mid tabls Championship club?   This club needs a massive overhaul, and if you give our new manager time, we might just wake the Pheck Up?

I get what you are saying, but you are p*ssing in the wind. The fan base is furious with Nige's unjust sacking and the poor results and dive towards the relegation spots that has happened since. A defeat on Saturday and the stadium will erupt that is for certain.

What like Krakatoa?  Get real...it just will not happen?   If we should lose? (Big If?).. Theyr'e will maybe a little anger, booing and frustration......but most supporters are sensible enough to realise that after just 7 games, and with no opportunity to bring in any new players, it is too early to make any long term judgement call on our new manager?   Patience young Jedi?

sound lads just wanted to confirm it in black and white, we are being taken for absolutely mugs aren't we 🤣 Lansdowns out..

Good idea........let's get rid of the billionaire chairman who has ploughed millions into our club....and form a worker's co-operative?   Educate yourself......I don't believe you are being taken for a mug, as i think you might have already arrived?

Man u (Used to be a big u ? ).........What a bunch of saddo's?   Cannot bear facing the truth, that they are no longer a force....and that they have been overtaken by at least SIX other clubs?   When we lost to BRIGHTON at the Millenium Stadium, who could have forseen that they would now be a more entertaining and successful side than ManURE?  IMHO?

    Thanks for the tip.

    Not interested in podcasts.

    What do they say?

Well if you are not interested in podcasts..............then there is really no point, as it needs to be listened to in the context it is intended, my second hand information will not be worth it.   There are a lot of football podcasts out there, varying from pathetic to excellent...........if you dismiss them all, then you are really missing out ..........IMHO.

  8. If any one gets the chance? ...........  Please try to listen to the latest Ntt20 podcast, (Not the top 20) dated 04/12/23.  Hopefully some forum members will be aware of this excellent football Podcast? IMHO?  it's an unbiased small feature about our current position.......Re: management, and our ongoing ambitions.....from an independent viewpoint,  looking in?   Seems spot on to me?

    Judge me on Tinnion! 😂

Ask Danny Wilson how much of a snake BT is.

People giving him credit for doing his job well gets right on my tits. Any single one of you that wasn’t doing it well would be fired.

Keeping him out of decisions that affect first team affairs is a good idea as he was so shit at managing them. Christ most of the team complained about him directly to senior management and then gave up at Swansea. Luckily I don’t **** so I couldn’t care less!

In 2018 Tinnion was instrumental in bringing Alex Scott over from Guernsey for a trial...............whatever your opinion of him, I think he has paid his way?   He is No manager, but he knows talent IMO.  If he wants to leave Twitter (Sorry,  Musk's Mess X) i don't blame him.

Case of “getting out of the kitchen as he can’t take the heat”?

Bet he’d still be there if Manning had won his first few. Real shame that someone else won’t seem to take accountability and communicate with the supporters.

It is of no consequence what results had happened.  Trolls and keyboard warriors will always find a way to abuse and belittle.....because they are A...holes who lead sad hidden  lives in their grubby bedsit's...Ha!

See I’d see Feb/March as a knee jerk - I guess we all have different tolerance levels.

The guys got a difficult job, but I think by this time next year it will give us a better idea if he’s up to it or not.

Fair enough............but by March we will surely have an idea of our ongoing progress or otherwise?    We ARE talkin 3/4 months?

  12. 1 minute ago, Numero Uno said:

That’s a fair point and as I said in another post if the trend of the performances, behaviours, KPI’s, results and whatever other metric you want to use don’t improve by February people will legitimately ask what was the point in trying to fix something that, whilst a bit uninspiring (but understandably so given the budget issues), certainly WASN’T broken.

To me, by January we should be a lot better at what he’s trying to instil and assuming the nest egg is cracked open by February/March time we should be seeing a real improvement in performance and results. If not, why the **** not?

If things have not improved considerably by Feb/March?  I will be at the head of the queue of complainants.........but some of the ludicrous knee jerk reactions elsewhere on the forum are just absurd IMHO.  LM needs some time, I thought NP's departure was handled appallingly, but i have belief in the new coach, and i think supporters might just end up eating some humble pie eventually?  Fingers crossed.. Ha!

...' It's a mindset and Culture that needs to be changed'...regarding winning.

    WTF...seriously?

So Nige hadn't installed that? **** off.

I know lots of people like his talk...but I'm find him just waffling coaching spiel when asked questions.

Doesn't take time to think of answers...it's all embedded.

Over time he's gonna come out worse than LJ for it imo.

I don't mind his football...but he's already grating on me in interviews.

"We are in the early stages of what we are trying to build here "    Says it all for me.  Patience young Jedi?

They were all salivating at the lips over Manning and this new brand of football.   It's been utter tripe so far.

Yep ........considering LM has been here for such an enormous length of time...........I believe it is almost a Month ...  now?   And also considering all the new players he has recruited..........I just DO NOT understand why we aren't at least second or third by now?   These young upstart coaches  have no understanding of urgency?   Maybe he will eventually learn to be patient, like our "clued in" supporters?

What like losing 3-2 to Stoke City after leading 2-0?.............Yep happy happy Nige days ?    Such absolute knee jerk Bollocks on here.    LM has been here 5 minutes, have some pateince and at least 2 windowa for him to make an impression..........before he is written off?
