  1. So not Mick Harford even though he did? Danny Wilson scored in a League Cup Final Bobby Hutchison in an FA Cup Final Both of those were staff and not players for City though
  2. There was a thread about it on Sunday. @Lewisdabaronisn't a fan I think it's fair to say I tried one on Saturday, very nice but by christ it was hot!
  3. 1-0 down, long shot came back off the crossbar and strilker tapped it in, he looked offside to me in the replays though.
  4. Paint it Black - Rolling Stones
  5. Journeyman sounds like it should mean played for a lot of teams, but it doesn't. It means an average, reliable and fairly unremarkable player.
  6. Norman Hunter's shop would have overlapped with the early video stores for sure. Not sure when his shop opened but presuming it was after his retirement in the early eighties? Video shops started to spring up around 1979-1980ish
  7. The thing is @Better Red, your own list seems to suggest maybe 20% of the academy players coming through are good enough for our first team. That's a pretty darn good conversion ratio to my mind. When you then add in a good 60-70% of the players that don't become regulars for us will have solid careers elsewhere, probably with sell-on clauses etc. then it seems like a very good investment for the club indeed.
  8. The highest Weston got was Conference South. Also a strange one was that their relegation to the Southern Premier recently was the first relegation in the club's history!
  9. @shahanshahan - What's Gerry Sweeney done to upset you?
  10. Dider Drogba apparently barely played football until he was 15.
  11. agreed, though on this occasion it did cross the line into malicious and I think it one of the very rare times (possibly the only time) that a ban was justified.
  12. I'd imagine it would be based more on the severity of the transgression
  13. I didn't call anyone pathetic, I said you couldn't blame anyone for not pushing through. Having said that, I'm not sure I'd have sued to get my ticket money back, that does seem a bit crap to me.
  14. I have no doubt, but I also have no doubt that there would have been spaces *somewhere* where people could have seen.
  15. I can see @NickJ's point, with the H&S rules nowadays it would be virtually impossible to overfill a terrace to the point where nobody can see, so any issues were probably caused by people massing in the wrong places and leaving other areas relatively free. On the other hand, you cannot really blame anyone for not 'just pushing their way through' - it's not 30+ years ago any more, people don't really understand how a packed terrace works any more and it was the old 'terrace protocol' and such attitudes that indirectly caused a lot of problems in the past. It was an amazingly exciting experience, being crammed onto an overfilled terrace, not being able to touch the ground some of the time and essesntially being at the mercy of the crowd as to where your movements took you, but it's not something that could have been allowed to continue.
  16. Is it a gate of over 10K or just the capacity for over 10K? The Memorial Ground is around 12K isn't it?
  17. There has been one there for the last two matches. It's for people that turn up with no Covid Passport or Negative test result to enable them to have a test and gain access to the stadium.
  18. It felt more to me that Callum was trying to break down the wing and then had to check his run and track back a little to stay onside when the througball wasn't forthcoming. Not that the opportunity for the throughball was always there but it did seem to me like he was trying to get a quick break moving most of the time.
  19. State of some of the replies to that tweet! Presume it's gas calling his son a fuxking **** and ted ***
