Its quite telling that during the British grand prix there is only one post.

I reckon F1 have lost a lot of fans since Abu Dhabi 2021.

Might have something to with a cricket match that is going on at the same time

I recall a 4 match marathon with Aldershot in the late 80's.....Carl Shutt eventually killing them off and securing us a tie away to Hartlepool....which we lost!

Steve Claridge played for Aldershot in those games

best player on the pitch by miles

Makes me laugh all this talk about the ‘spirit of the game’

How about walking off when you know you have snicked it. No different is it?

You dont walk in village cricket let alone in a test match

It is the bowlers job to appeal Then the umpires job to give it

Is it only poor shot selection if you get out?

KP has made a brilliant point re Ollie Pope's wicket. He's chosen the right shot and not executed.

Is a forward defensive the wrong shot if the ball seams and takes the edge?

Ben Duckett has left c.12 balls in his test career. He hits the ball. He's scored 98 today with that method. He scored 180 the other week.

Does every wicket need to be "******* pathetic" or "braindead" according to some blokes who probably last picked up a cricket bat in the early 90's?

    The game has changed.

Has the game changed for the better?

Since 2020 only Root Bairstow ans Stokes average over 40 for England

That won't be the only stumping this England innings

That is why Crawley will never make a good test batsman

Chasing a 1st innings score of over 400 and your opening batsman gets stumped

What part of TEST cricket don't English batsman get Shocking

Barmy Army also not allowed group tickets at Lords (unlike all other English Test grounds) which along with the price putting people off contributes to a flat / different atmosphere

Makes a nice change for the supporters who just want to sit and watch the cricket

You get the same in all sports - commentators who talk purely based on what the scoreboard says. The ball was moving around, Aus missed it and edged it all day and England, although not at their best, were unlucky. Not what the headlines will say.

Agree about Lords, England don't like playing there because there are too many polite supporters sipping their chilled white wine.

Is it wrong to be polite at sporting events these days?

    Great squad and great manager.

If we had appointed a new manager and they were producing football like this the press and fans would be running out of superlatives. Instead it's the usual anti Southgate moans

Great teams and managers win things

GS has done well but no way is he a great

Well those in the media who questioned Root's decision to go to the IPL before the ashes rather than play for Yorkshire...

That is the difference between Root and the rest

When he is playing a test match he bats like a test batsman

How many of the England players got out playing a One day/ T20  shot?
