Agent Holden, your mission….
-
Section 82 get nowhere near enough credit for what they do.
-
Finished watching this earlier in the week and really enjoyed it. It was a nice surprise to see it was essentially about him as a footballer and the history of that. Yes, there were some other bits thrown in but I had expected it to focus on Beckham the brand not Beckham the footballer and it was most definitely the latter.
-
A bit of a surprise given he was allowed to make signings recently. As some have said here perhaps a bust up behind the scenes? Who’s next for the family club? Job for LJ?!
-
The singing section sang his name constantly for about 20 minutes of the first half.

Ipswich Town home match thread

A decent performance tonight if not result; ironically played better than Saturday in the end although a very different game of course. Second half in particular we improved and could’ve easily got at least a draw with better luck and finishing. As poor as Max was in the first half he did better in the second and made a few good saves. As much as I’ve like Weinmann we actually looked better when he went off I thought. One final point, I thought S82 and the standing section were superb tonight especially second half. It was also good to see the crowd appreciate the lads effort and despite the loss still got clapped off. Lots of positive support for NP too. -
That’s what I heard too Pete. NP said he was limping but also sounded dismissive of it.

Yep, and just stood still and watched their shot against the post. He may well redeem himself second half of course but that was a poor half from him. -

Almost as good as the steward on the players car park gate just now: He just radioed in that “Nah-cah-tee Wells is coming in. He’s a player.”. Followed by “There is another player coming in. Nail-smith I think it was didn’t catch his first name.”. -

Despite all the NP stuff this week let’s try and give MA the reception he deserves! -
Robins Reunited - Martin Scott & Andy Leaning
One Team replied to 3 Peaps In A PodCast's topic in Football Chat
Not wrong there Fevs, it is interesting how blessed we’ve been over the years in that position. What with Scott, Bell, Barnard, Brennan we’ve had some crackers. I’ve loved them all but Bell just takes it for me. -

Thank you, looking forward to this. Whilst I don’t particularly like the post match podcasts the Robins Reunited ones have been very good. I’ve said before but the host does a great job in letting the guests talk and reveal some good insights. If you haven’t already listened to them they are really worth checking out. -
I heard it that way too and hopefully he can mediate something between SL and NP. I certainly feel a bit more positive after hearing the press conference.

Just listened to last nights Sound of the City, was a great listen, although disappointing (but perhaps not surprising) no one from the club came on the show. Well done @Davefevs, thought you did a great job representing the views on here. Obviously we still don’t have any answers but it was good to have it all aired and discussed on live radio.
-
Nice one! You will be fair and honest as always I am sure. Looking forward to listening later.
-
Thanks Fevs mate!

Some reasonable debate on the subject here. For me at least the observation should at least be football related. I’m pretty sure when I started going it was quite a rare event and relevant.
-
Given this interview was on Radio Bristol it’ll be interesting to see if it’s covered on Sound Of The City tonight. I normally find it very biased to the club hierarchy (Hoskins even said a few shows back that “we can’t criticise Steve Lansdown”) but there is surely enough here to have a reasonable debate. @Davefevs don’t suppose you are on?
-
Superb! That was a normal men’s attendance at the Gate when I started going.
-
Nice one mate!
-
I’d let him know the poll results as they stand mate.

And SC with LJ. Three times he’s done it. Wouldn’t surprise if he goes for the quadruple and replaces NP with Cole Skuse (ex player, tick! In my tenure, tick! Unproven at this level, tick!).
-
Fair point Ian!
