  1. Wow, where has this come from?! If true then I would agree about having its own thread as it could get lost in the general ones.
  2. Thanks for sharing this. It’s right to raise the Bristol Sport point which feels like avoidance; they should be represented at the meet if the club need to defer to them so much. Kind of feels like it’s not our stadium at times. The most shocking thing I read there was the price for a bottle of water! Suspending my disbelief for a moment people actually buy food and drink at the ground (there are loads better value and quality places around the ground, especially on North Street) that’s an outrageous price for water. That’s the sort of price you pay at Disney World! Quite literally Mickey Mouse…
  3. Agreed with all that Fevs, was an interesting interview and l liked what he had to say. Good to hear you on the show afterwards! ?

I‘ve not felt like this about an England player since Gascoigne. He’s a generational talent, not seen his like for a long time.

Bellingham is such a wonderful player.

    England

I think I am right in saying England doesn’t have a national anthem and defaults to the UK one, I.e GSTK.

    England

Agree on the anthem comments, although the Scotland players showed a lot more effort and passion singing theirs than the England players; they barely bother. Anyone think Conway could’ve made the Scotland squad tonight if fit?
  8. True mate. One of the things I like about FBC is you will have the challenging debates, whatever the opinions of the guests it’s at least honest. Ever thought of getting a club representative on? (Appreciate I may have missed it you have)
  9. Agreed, and host RobinsTV while you are at @headhunter!
  10. Two puns in one post?! Legend! FWIW I think Fleetwood is probably a good fit for him and his level. I still think he will end up at Yeovil at some point. At least him going to Fleetwood reduces the risk of SL appointing him here!
  11. Quite something to play against Matt Grimes and Jamie Paterson on Saturday and against Mbappe, Giroud, Griezman and Dembele tonight!
  12. Great for the lad. No Sykes though?
  13. Before my time but surely has to be this? League away win at Arsenal in the top division surely trumps everything else?
  14. I thought Gregor was pretty good actually always came across well on OSIB and was pretty candid for a person in his position.
  15. Not listened to that yet Fevs, worth a go?
  16. Great article and highlights that it was even more of a shame @3 Peaps In A PodCast didn’t probe into these key points (and those we’ve discussed here regarding SL) when interviewing him in the most recent podcast. A superb opportunity for some transparent candid debate about the state of the club, and in particular SL and PA, wasted. The rest of the podcast regarding the Swansea game was pretty decent though!
  17. Completely agree but he’s not a yes man or ex player who they can manipulate. NP, like very few before him, was appointed due to experience, not nepotism, which is normally the favoured aspect of the managerial decision making process.
  18. Good comment, although let’s put into context SL’s wealth; circa £1.7 billion. Covering the costs of Scott and Semenyo would be negligible to SL. It we made it analogous to the wealth of the average man on the street it wouldn’t be much at all. I’m not even sure it’s about the money for him, I get the perception he just wants out.
  19. Was just about to post the similar mate. If you’ve lost arguably the most rational, measured, well researched contributor in @Davefevs on OTIB your days are numbered. I think @lenred said earlier that SL may not realise the depth of feeling in the future, I think that time is now. It’s like the manager equivalent of losing the dressing room. If it carries on like this then it’s going to get pretty toxic and not against NP.
  20. We do, but I’d wager this won’t happen again whilst SL is here.
  21. Agreed. GT always seemed to have the fans views front and centre and would probe in situations like this. Hoskins is OK although a couple of weeks ago he said “we can’t criticise Steve Lansdown for all he’s done for the club” on Sound of the City. I thought then that any decent journalism was right out of the window.
  22. Good summary Fevs. This really isn’t sitting well with me; it feels like he’s putting our success and position at risk to reduce his inputs into the club. You could argue that’s up to him, even that he’s entitled to do so; but let’s stop any notion of him being some sort of super fan with the club in his heart. This is being looked at purely from a business perspective, and as we all know a football club is far more than just a business.
