  6. These England games on Friday evening and Monday evening is it done on purpose? If you have had a long day at work(monday),do you really want to travel to London for an uninspiring match even if you have got match day tickets Considering its also LIVE on Channel 4. Why can't these games be Thursday/Sunday(3pm?) or Saturday(3pm?)/Tuesday
  7. I thought that was a very strange time to show the Middlsesbrough v Rotherham game at 19:45pm on a saturday night It turns out that each Championship club is allowed to have at least two home games broadcast on Sky per season. One in the first half of the season and one in the second half of the season. It seems that Sky could not fit in a Home game for Rotherham before the turn of the year. So Sky picked the Boro v Rotherham game, which would benefit Rotherham more as they will get the away game payment which is worth more than the home teams payment
  8. I would much prefer those long trips(Norwich excepted) as you will have three hours of daylight to get back home, and I use the trains.
  9. from the west midlands last season reffed our 2-1 loss at Boro our home 1-0 win over stoke where joe Allan get sent off in the 90th minute and the 2-1 home win over reading with his tally for last season of 36 games 145 yellows and two reds
  10. That was one hell of long trip to Norwich on Wednesday at approx 237 miles one way. I left on the 13:00pm service from Bristol Parkway and arrived in Paddington at 14:15pm Caught the rocket from Paddington(Elizabeth line) to Liverpool Street and it was fast. Station stops were Tottenham Court Road Faringdon and Liverpool Street station. Caught the 15:00pm from Liverpool Street to Norwich and arrived at 16:45pm. So that was a total journey time of three and three quarter hours. Don't think it will be that quick for the away game on Saturday against Burnley at 199 miles. and if your using the train to Burnley, don't miss the 18:03pm or you won't get back home till Sunday. Hopefully we can get three points to take us into the two week break.
  11. Think your right, I'll try and find out for sure when I am in Norwich on Wednesday night.
  12. Pleased you enjoyed reading my posting, see you on the train to Norwich and Burnley?
  13. an army of 5,500 Burnley fans are heading to Preston on tuesday night There are only two return services after the game 22:26pm which is scheduled as a thre car unit and the 22:57pm service is a bus replacement service The distance from Burnley to preston is 25 miles, its not as far as we have to travel on Saturday with a round trip of over 400 miles See all you railway spotter hoardes on the 17:20pm from Burnley back home and don't miss it other wise you might end up with a night in Birmingham
